Great accommodation right in the heart of Porlock

Great breakfast- locally produced bacon, sausage etc beautifully cooked

If we’d been staying longer, maybe a couple more plugs, but appreciate this is tricky in a timber-framed building!!

Excellent welcoming B&B in centre of Porlock

Really engaging and friendly hosts, fantastic breakfast with plenty of choice. My room was beautiful, clean with very comfortable bed. Tea/coffee facilities in room and in the communal lounge area. Lovely fluffy towels and pleasant selection of toiletries (basically, the hosts have provided everything you might need for your stay). Parking is provided behind the property.

Perfect in every way even though the weather was not ideal.

The breakfast was excellent, fabulous selection of everything and attention to detail by staff was perfect in every way. The location of the B&B was perfect to access restaurants etc ideal and the car could stay parked.

Chris & Clare were wonderful hosts. They gave us plenty of useful information about local bus services and called a taxi for us when one of our party was ill and we had to take her to the hospital. Breakfast was lovely and our rooms were clean and comfortable. Location was great, in the middle of Porlock and not far from the SWCP.

Never disappointed here

4th visit here and always the most welcoming hosts, the rooms are spotless, with extra touches, the breakfast is excellent, good quality bacon and sausages, piping hot, with other options too. Will definitely be back again.

If have to find something and its only a minor thing , would have preferred butter in the butter pat, after going to the trouble of doing individual ones.

It's well located on the High St with easy parking. My room was a decent size. The shower is in the room but who cares. Bed was really comfortable if you like a reasonably firm mattress. Decent breakfast and plenty of offers for more. Chris & Clare are very helpful. I booked 2 nights and stayed for 3. Nothing to dislike. The Ship pub in the village did very acceptable food which is only 5 mins away.

Chris and Claire made our stay very welcoming and are great hosts. Excellent place to stay.

The location is perfect for exploring Porlock village. It’s also good point for walking from. There are several coffee shops and pubs. Our favourite is the Whortleberry Tea Room for a lunch time snack or a well deserved cake. The Ship Inn was exceptional service bang on and the food restaurant standard. The cottage accommodation was very good the breakfast excellent and in a lovely room. We particularly like the lounge area which we relaxed in for a while after breakfast and when returning having been out for Dinner. The coffee machine and choice of several different coffees I found particularly important being a coffee lover.

Beautiful B&B in the heart of Porlock, stones throw from the pubs, tea rooms and main walking routes. Room was great size, warm clean and perfect place to relax after a long walk. Shower was 👌🏻👌🏻

Ideally situated in the center of Porlock. Luxurious room, comfortable bed, very attentive host and a super delicious breakfast. Without a doubt a picture perfect B&B.

I wish the B&B could move down along the South West Coast path with me. I would stay there every night. Seriously I can’t think of anything the B&B should improve.
