Noise from pub and garden could disturb some guests if they wanted an early night

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Delicious food. Overall charming pub accommodation with plenty of character. Pleasantly decorated rooms.
Bathroooms needed some refurbishment. Weather was very warm so unfortunately were the rooms although we did have electric fans.

staff were great, good range of beers and wines. Good secure parking; room was small but comfortable
We had pre-booked a table in the dining room for dinner, but when we went down we were told it was booked for a wedding; surely they would have known that 2 days before !! Evening meal was in the bar which was OK, not the most comfortable of seats at the window table; the pizza was over-cooked and had very hard edges. Breakfast was strange; not a help yourself to continental style, everything has to be pre-ordered, so fruit & yogurt was served as ordered the night before. We ordered tea and coffee, and were charged extra to the £12 for simple breakfast.

Just about everything. A large room with a big soft bed, large bathroom and tea/coffee making facilities. All towels provided, also a flannel (that doesn't happen very often!) and toiletries. Great food at the bar - or in a side dining room if you wanted - with a good selection of drinks including an excellent real ale (Swallowtail) and a decent Breakfast - on this occasion - included in the price.
The 'in room' kettle in desperate need of descaling.

Comfy beds. Clean and comfy bed linen and towels. Good sized room. Attractive decoration. Really quiet location with pub for meals/drinks and lovely village to walk around. Tasty breakfast for a reasonable price. Parking. Close to Snetterton circuit.
Stayed 2 nights but no one came to clean cups/ replenish coffee/ tea/ milk.
Shower went hot and cold when other rooms were using water.
Only one person (of 3) had a bedside light

We love Helen and appreciate the breakfast she made for us early

Breakfast was yummy . Bed was comfortable and room was clean.
Walls are thin so can hear next door etc but can’t be helped given the age of the property.

What a charming old pub/hotel. Beams everywhere, lots of locals and visitors there for drinks and lunch. Excellent food, friendly staff, lovely airy room and good value. Thoroughly recommend
Roads to New Buckingham are quite narrow and twisty but worth the journey.

I booked a deluxe double room with extra large double and got standard double bed. The kitchen extractor came on at 7.30am and was right outside the window and very noisy. The shower cubicle is very rusty and dirty hardly deluxe. The tv is from the dark ages!! The blind was broken.
False advertising

I felt very welcomed upon arrival and nothing was too much trouble. My room was lovely, very comfy bed and plenty of space. Dinner was delicious and once again, I was well looked after even when the pub became busy later on in the evening. Breakfast set me up for the day and was tasty.
The room was a little cold when I arrived and also in the morning. The matter was promptly resolved however.

Lovely friendly staff
Spacious room
Great location
Lots of parking (on the road)
The only deluxe thing about the family room is the space. The furniture looks like random and it’s all old and tired looking.
No bedside tables or lamps
Tiny TV
Bed sheets have a weird rubbery texture
Towels stained
Not particularly clean - dust on the coffee machine, the kettle is covered in limescale, bathroom skirting boards grotty and shower cubicle needs properly scrubbing
Shower temperamental - kept reducing to a trickle when I used it and wouldn’t come on at all when my husband tried!
Pub noisy downstairs but that’s to be expected and it does get quiet at 11pm
Very disappointing! We’ve stayed here under previous ownership and it was immaculate. Not sure what happened. Will not be coming back.

Really lovely hotel, staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing!
It was a hot night so our window was open but it's above fan for the kitchen. This went on at 7.15am and it was so loud and woke us up. Otherwise, slept well.

Everything
As single traveller only room left was huge full price family suite. Would have appreciated a small discount as single pensioner visiting family in the village . Have stayed before but travelling companion - brother passed recently.

Was a little noisy the first night as the room was above the bar area.

The decor in the room and associated circulation areas was very tasteful, managing to maintain the aging character of the building. The bar and eating areas in the pub were very tidy - certainly no spit and sawdust!
The breakfast, although very tasty was a little sparce. One small piece of bacon was symptomatic of the quantity. For the price, I would expect to see two of everything, based on previous B&Bs on Booking.com. Free parking in the vicinity is rather tight so would recommend finding somewhere where there is no danger of being hit by one of a number of careless (and very speedy) local motorists that I encountered whilst driving in the locality, one of which who pulled out in front of me with out looking! I hope my brakes work as well next time!
