The room was clean and well maintained.

The bed was hard and needed replacing. The bathroom was clean but had no fittings were present to facilitate easy access and egress when using the bath. I didn’t include breakfast but decided on the following morning to have one. The listed charge was £13.95 and included tea and toast on settling the bill I was charged £17.95 as tea etc was only included if breakfast was pre booked. Absolutely disgraceful I was a guest of the hotel and should not have been charged extra.

George Hotel, Arlington Road

Room was clean, staff pleasant. We booked room only but food is available in the restaurant. Menu looked decent and a reasonable price. Location was good for the town centre- a 20 min walk on a straight road. Uber is cheap as an option.Very quiet, despite being on the ground floor.. Shower was very good and there is a bath.

Pillows were quite uncomfortable. Beds were two singles pushed together. Lighting is quite low so had to stand in different locations to apply make-up. Room was quite warm but there is air con if required.

Just lovely!

The room was quiet and the bed was very comfortable. I had a lovely relaxing bath on the first night. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. I will definitely return. I especially loved the location, the trees were beautiful in the area. There were many different types.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the George Hotel BW Signature in Norwich. The hotel is charming and well-maintained, with a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Our room was clean, and very comfortable, with a cozy bed that ensured a great night’s sleep. Breakfast was excellent, with a good variety of options and well-prepared dishes. The location is ideal, close to Norwich city center, making it easy to explore local attractions, shops, and restaurants. Overall, the George Hotel offers a perfect combination of comfort, convenience, and attentive service.

Good location for City visit and a charming Hotel with excellent staff

The restaurant staff (particularly Michelle, the duty manager) were very helpful and courteous. Food in the restaurant was excellent given how busy it was, especially on the Monday evening this close to Christmas. We ate off the Festive menu both evenings and enjoyed the selection and quality of food available. Sadly we couldn’t manage 3 courses; maybe next time. The Suite in the eves of the building was very private and quiet, well furnished and clean; maybe just a little tired in places but it is a oldish building so I’ll forgive them for that. However, we will definitely return😁

The location was good and the staff were excellent.

We stayed in room 128. With the window open at night, you could smell the kitchen and also hear the staff (I think) talking outside. That corridor was also noisy with people coming and going, especially going to bed. You hours also hear taps going on in the rooms around us.

Our 2nd visit. Welcoming, comfortable and clean. Staff very friendly and food tasty and beautifully cooked. Ideal location for Norwich city centre exactly 1 mile and an easy straightforward walk.

Ideal location for me.

When I booked in on Saturday afternoon I was told that I couldn’t have a table for the evening meal, so couldn’t have dinner. The receptionist apologised, but they had been so busy with booking that there was no table available for me. I ended up with crisps and chocolate, which luckily I love. It was also lucky I had a wonderful meal in the said restaurant at lunchtime. I did explain it was the first hotel I’d experienced no having a table available, but alas it didn’t help my corner. Also, there was a clicking type noise heard in my room all night. I played the recordings to the receptionist when I booked out. She thought it may have been the heating. The receptionist and all staff had been very pleasant and professional throughout my experience to their credit.

Really friendly and accommodating staff. Smallish and simple room but clean and not lacking any of the essentials. Quite newly renovated I would think, comfortable bed, tea and coffee making facilities and warm and cosy. Location is about a 20-30 minute walk from the centre but ideal for those that don’t mind the walk. Good choice of breakfast foods.

Breakfast choices were adequate but would have been nice to have other than ordinary sliced bread for toast and a better quality of bacon and sausage, though this obviously would put up the cost, which is currently good value and well cooked.

Good value for money especially if you travel by car.

Ground floor room in annex was very clean, functional and quiet. It was adequate for a one night stay Staff were very helpful throughout. Breakfast was very good and the choice for Sunday lunch was fine.

Bottled water in the room would be nice. A long way to walk into town but the location was quiet. Room would have been too small and claustrophobic for a long stay because blinds had to be kept drawn all the time to prevent car park users looking in.

Visiting family who regularly eat there, unfortunately when ordering food came out burnt & chewy. Decided it was a one off so didn't complain however when ordered dessert, one came out wrong, when we mentioned this the staff just said we ordered wrong.

Outstanding, very clean, good location and friendly staff

This is the 2nd time we have stopped here. It is very clean and presentable. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were friendly and chatty. We stopped for two nights and the room was made up with fresh towels in between. We will definitely stop here again. It was only a short walk into the city which was a bonus.
