Nicely decorated, clean and lovely lounge with open fire, right in the heart of the countryside.

Noise from the floor above our room/ no.17- floorboards creak and someone kept us awake late and then started early in the morning- seemingly walking back and forth over the same area?? It woke my daughter up. The bathroom is tired, chipped paint on the door frame and the grouting on the shower door was black and also grimy in places around wall tiles. Also ordered pepperoni pizzas- so salty I couldn’t eat it- made my tongue sore? Soaked in salt, awful. Also the cocktails were like squash. Watery, small and expensive.

Comfortable bed and room

I was going to have breakfast on my first morning, but I waiting for 13 minutes without being seen despite a conversation being had about general vegan foods being had between a customer and member of staff. I therefore, had to leave due to time constraints. The next day was much better and the breakfast was very good.

Lovely spa, hotel a bit pricey for what we got

The spa and spa staff were lovely

It was impossible to get a coffee or food from the restaurant or sports bar as certain times. There was never anyone there to assist us. Also the bathroom was quite dated, the bath tub didn’t drain properly and the toilet was leaking from the back.

A lovely couples break. Relaxing and just what we needed.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The bed huge and comfortable. Room clean and had everything we needed. We ate in the Sports Bar which met our expectations and was lovely. Had a few drinks and enjoyed the lovely lounge area. We added on a nice swim, sauna, steam which added that bit more relaxation to our break.

The pool and changing room area could benefit from a little update. Things like some lose tiles, lockers not working etc.

My visit

● View - I had such a fantastic view during my breakfast, watching the sunrise. ● Parking - Close to the hotel. ● Staff - Very outgoing and polite.

● £25 for breakfast is a bit expensive. ● WiFi - constantly disappearing. It's like The X-Files; the connection is somewhere close. ● Sockets in room - no socket next to the bed for phone charging, or no USB socket. It's not a big deal, just a bit uncomfortable. ● When I arrived (Sunday 15:00), I was told that the swimming pool would not be available from 15:30 - 17:00 due to children. In the description, it says adults only, and there wasn't any information about that. Again, it is a bit inconvenient, which leaves you a window from 17:00 till 19:00.

Nice relaxing break away for the weekend.

It’s in a beautiful setting, particularly if you play golf. The bed was very comfortable and the towels were lovely and fluffy.

To go between the rooms and the rest of the hotel you have to go through an open courtyard, not great if it’s raining!

The location was close enough to wymondham to be convenient but the quiet and charm of being in the countryside. Rooms comfortable, clean and everything we required within our room The staff were so welcoming and very helpful

Amazing hotel, staff were friendly, bed was clean and the bed was huge! We ate at the sports bar which the food was lovely, the only thing I would say is that it is used for contractors working away from home and their language was at times a bit unneeded.

Practically perfect

Clean comfortable rooms, the brasserie restaurant served excellent food flavours were just amazing. Would like to give a special mention to Miranda (panda) who served us in the restaurant- an absolutely delightful lady she made our night. All the staff though were lovely.we had a junior suite my elderly mother had a ground floor standard room which was more than adequate.

Only that we didn’t have enough time to use the spa - we were there for a family wedding in the local area.

Horrible

Only two members of staff - Morgan and Nikki. They were helpful and genuinely cared.

Upon checking in, we went up to the room and it was very warm in the room. Checked the thermostat and switched on the AC and lowered the temperature. A while later there was an error code and room temperature was still at 24 degrees. Reset the error codes multiple times to no avail. Got very little sleep as it was so hot in the room. Next day informed the staff at reception who said it would be looked at. Came back to the hotel and was told the issue was resolved. Went into the room, still at 24 degrees. Morgan at reception and Nikki in housekeeping were the only staff who were genuinely trying to help and sort the issue out. Manager and remaining staff sat in the back room refusing to even speak to us or find a solution to the problem. Apparently the whole hotel had a heating malfunction and all the room ACs were not working. We paid for the best room and left the hotel exhausted and not at all rested. There was no solution and not a single team member apart from Morgan reached out to us regarding updates or to apologise. We spent nearly £1000 on the room, food and spa. And all they could offer for our inconvenience was cold drinks!! Worst hospitality I've ever experienced, even Premier Inn has been a better experience than this hotel

Fabulous facilities and outlook

This is a beautiful hotel situated on a golf course. The hotel has a spa and restaurant and is well designed and laid out. We booked a Junior Suite which was comfortable and spacious. Staff throughout were pleasant and helpful.

Our bathroom was tiny and a little tired and access was by stairs with no lift. We found the continental breakfast a little basic - the two toasters did not function well. The cooked breakfast took a long time to come but was delicious.

Clean and tidy. Friendly Staff. Lovely location. Golf was excellent even though I’ve never played it. Loved the safe in the room even though I didn’t use it.

Beautiful location, lovely room and great food

The decor was very good and exceptionally clean. Reception team made me feel very welcome and provided all the information required - especially last orders for food as I arrived @8:45. The goid from the sports bar was lovely with great service too. Fortunately I had a room upgrade foc, lovely large bed and spacious room. Bathroom facilities well stocked with toiletries

The only issue I experienced was in the morning @ 9am. Unfortunately there wasn’t any hot water so the shower was rather refreshing to say the least. To shave was ok as I used hot water from the kettle. I did pass the water comments to reception on departure who were going to contact maintenance. I guess all the hot water had probably been used up by other rooms and their guests.
