Assembly House - Room With Balcony

The room was nice and prime location.

As with most hotels, could hear people in other rooms and someone walking about upstairs back and forth?

Very enjoyable

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay in a large comfortable room in the centre of Norwich and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

I would have liked bath robes to be available and a couple of chairs to sit at the table to eat - there is plenty of room. We ordered a Indian take away to eat in the room in the evening and I ended up sitting on the floor not wanting to sit with it on my lap on the sofa or bed in case I made a mess. We were planning to have breakfast in the room but the lack of chairs to sit at the table was the reason we decided against this. The breakfast was very pleasant in the breakfast room.

A perfect place to stay for visiting Norwich

Every aspect of our stay was excellent. A beautiful hotel with a stylish and comfortable room. And the air conditioning worked which, in our experience, is rare in British hotels. The hotel is based right in the middle of Norwich with all its attractions within easy walking difference.

Parking at the hotel is quite limited and not bookable. We were lucky and found a space but we imagine that it could be a problem in the busy season.

A beautiful room, lovely spacious bathroom. Good selection at breakfast. Extremely welcoming and helpful staff

Nothing really. The stairs to room 6 were a bit tricky for my partner - in future I would request a ground flooor room

Luxurious stay in beautiful hotel.

The hotel is gorgeous. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The staff were professional, very welcoming. The breakfast was delicious with incredible choice, local produce used, nothing too much effort for staff. My husband uses a walking aid and access was no pproblem, well thought out. The whole place is curated and historic. It felt very luxurious and the location right in town is perfect. A wonderful break.

A lovely hotel - a little pricy but would stay there again as a bit of a treat!

Loved the building, all very grand. Super dining room for breakfast.

Parking was OK but I went to the public car park initially, just passed the front of the hotel, then checked with reception and was given clear instructions for the parking space around the back, included with the booking. All went well.

Great hotel, shame about the inconsiderate party goers

Great stay again, fab breakfast, room and location. Welcoming friendly staff, always enjoy my visits here.

Busy time of year with multiple functions meant a lot of drunken noisy guests getting taxis just below our room (no 6) for an hour from 11pm. Worse on Saturday night. Really inconsiderate. It would have been right outside ground floor room 1's window so I suggest avoiding booking room 1 and 6 during the festive period. Perhaps staff could remind people leaving that there are people trying to sleep as it's a hotel as well as a venue?

Beautiful hotel in a lovely location.

Everything about the Assembly House is wonderful! The welcome from the staff on Reception, the room, the food and the location are all superb. We were able to park in the car park without any difficulty and the central location meant we could walk round the city with ease. The Christmas decorations were beautiful and our stay was topped by the excellent afternoon tea.

Booked Festive Afternoon tea it was absolutely amazing either way such attention to detail. The room was stunning, such lovely decor Room 16 Would definitely stay again and the breakfast options were exceptional. Thank you for a lovely stay, Casey really welcomed us like family.

Room was stunning and exceeded pictures on website. The bath was huge, we could have swam in it and the breakfast was exceptional. All in all a gorgeous stay, good value for money

Only slight inconvenience was that carpark isn't private, so we struggled to find a spot and had to park elsewhere and then move it to the hotel late evening in order to get a spot

A great stay!

I have stayed here before and it's my hotel of choice when I visit Norwich. The room (room 2) was beautiful, the bed gloriously comfortable, the location great and the staff lovely. Breakfast is superb. I love the historic ambience.

It should have been easier to contact reception when I couldn't turn up the heating.

Its right next door to the Theatre Royal, which was great. The room was beautifully decorated and comfortable. Breakfast superb and great choice of freshly cooked food.

The only downside is having to walk outside from the room to breakfast.

The building is historical and very well preserved and updated. Service was excellent. Location is very convenient. Parking was good.

Beautiful setting, the room was spotless and very spacious. Breakfast was good, with lots of choice.

The pillows in the room were so thin and worn out, you had to fold both pillows to get and height and even then they were uncomfortable. A touch disappointing given how lovely everything else was.

Great service , comfortable room and the best breakfast

Michelle who welcomed us on arrival , served us breakfast in the morning and afternoon coffee is efficient, kind, warm and welcoming. She is an excellent ambassador for the hotel. The room was lovely - tastefully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. Location is spot on and super central.
