Loved it.

Bed extremely comfortable. Issue with heating for 1st night and couldn't turn radiator down. The following morning this was rectified and was no bother to the staff. All staff friendly and excellent breakfast. Wished we had more time as would have liked to have had evening meal there too. Good location for everything. Many thanks Al Forno.

Absolutely amazing

The stuff were absolutely brilliant very polite and very attentive too couldn’t of had a better stay in Norwich, will most definitely be staying there again and there breakfast was absolutely delicious lovely hotel

Only thing I will say and it might be down to preference the bed was a little hard but that is all everything else spot on

Despite the shortcomings we had an enjoyable stay.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were very good, and freshly cooked. It was during a cold snap and the heating was very good. The water in the bathroom was very hot.

The shower cubicle needed some attention. It had no handrails. It was also rather small, and no shelves for toiletries.

Our room did not have a window and I was unable to switch off the bathroom timer extractor fan which was noisy throughout the night and had a mind of its own in the morning.

Deeply disappointing

The room was spacious and the bed comfortable

The heating was not on until we asked for it, the TV remote didn't work, there was no comfortable chair, nowhere to put towels, and the breakfast offered very limited choice - very unimpressive.

Great location for a stay in Norwich. Very good Hotel and Restaurant

The member of staff that greeted us and served us at dinner and breakfast was really nice and nothing was too much trouble. The room was very clean and spacious and the bed very comfortable. The location was great and the restaurant and hotel were approx 5 minutes walk from the shops, pubs, bus stops and approx 10-15 minute walk to the castle. The food and wine in the restaurant were also very nice. I would definitely recommend and would stay at the Al Forno again if we were planning to stay in Norwich.

A welcoming inn with excellent hospitality and fantastic food—perfect for a short stay in Norwich!

The location was fantastic—easy to find and close to the heart of Norwich. The staff were warm, welcoming, and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The room was clean, cozy, and well-prepared, offering everything we needed for a restful night.

The stay was overall very enjoyable. There wasn’t a thing that I didn’t like about this property.

Nice looking room and Breakfast but ends there.

The Room was good with a lot of space in room 3. Breakfast was good but cooked with a lot of Fat Only offered 1 sausage 1 bacon and 1 egg but was allowed to add more if requested.

When we arrived it was very cold inside it was 10-11 degrees outside and about the same possibly a little higher by 1-2 degrees inside and there was no heating on at all we just thought that the heating would come on later in the evening. When I came back from out night out it was still really cold and I could see the Thermostat in the hallway it was on 0. I had to put it up myself and the radiators came on. By the time we got up and went down for breakfast the thermostat had been turned down again to 0 and the radiators had gone off. Also the Mattress in room 3 was very hard which made it hard to sleep. Will not be staying again.

Lovely small hotel in the perfect location for the city centre.

A minor detail, but the en-suite in the room we stayed in was a little small with quite dim lighting. Only an issue because my husband is visually impaired.

A gem of a place which I hope to visit again soon

City centre location with good breakfast. It offered a great evening meal menu in the restaurant which proved to be excellent. Great secure parking.

The restaurant was grossly under used for a Saturday night. A sign of the times, but locals are missing out on great quality food!

Needs a spring cleaning

Helpful staff. Was not my first choide but everywhere else was booked out on graduation week.

It was 2 nights, the restaurant was closed. The rooms had no windows. The carpet flooring was extremely sticky, like it hasn't been cleaned in years. It just felt so uncomfortable, and no bedroom slippers were provided either. The man running the hotel was pleasant enough, and helpful but the establishment really needs some work when it comes to cleanliness. Nothing worse than peeling your foot of a floor/carpet that feels like it has a thin layer of glue on it with every step you take.

Ideal room for a one night stay after a night out in the city

Our guest house was really nice and tidy. The room was just the right size for us, and the bathroom was surprisingly spacious!

The 8 o’clock wake up when the noisy kitchen extractor fan was put on, the extractor flue is right outside the window.

Not one to recommend

The location was good, only a short walk from the bus station. The room seemed clean and the facilities were adequate but basic.

I have stayed recently in two other hotels in or near Norwich and both had much nicer rooms at similar prices. I am a frequent traveller and expect to be greeted by someone who is both efficient and welcoming. The host here was not welcoming at all and his attitude left me feeling very uncomfortable. I will not be going back.

The staff were friendly and efficient. Free parking in the hotel/restaurant car park. Nice restaurant Quite old-fashioned but comfortable room (room 5), with two Velux windows that kept it much cooler in a heatwave than regular windows

A potentially fantastic little hotel with a lot to offer. Sadly the bed was just too uncomfortable

Booked this hotel for its superb location, only a few minutes walk from the city centre, and for the fact it included parking. The room was much larger than expected, nicely decorated and had a great shower. The breakfast was fantastic. There was a fan in the room which we were thankful of as it was an extremely hot weekend.

Sadly, the bed was really uncomfortable. It wss very, very hard and the pillows were either super soft or rock hard. Parking is included based on the nights you stay, so if you book 2 nights but will be there 3 days, you will have to pay extra for that Parking. It would have been good to have had a bin in the room with the tea making facilities. Breakfast finishing at 9am feels a little early, and as such we didn't go down one day as we'd had a poor sleep.
