The restaurant downstairs is beautiful and the menu is excellent
Signposting is poor. It's not clear where to enter to go to the hotel. You have to go to the restaurant and wait for someone to be free to book you in. There's no formal reception area. The staff member was very friendly but his English was not clear, so it was difficult to communicate clearly with him. The rooms have thin walls so it's possible to hear the guests music and conversation in neighbouring rooms. The blind in the room was broken, so people could see into the room from the busy street below. The room was not advertised as having a shared bathroom. I could have found an ensuite room close by for a similar price. Parking opposite the hotel overnight is free, but despite asking by email and in person, this information was not conveyed. Otherwise the room and shared bathroom was clean. The hotel is in a good location.

Checking in smooth simple with a smile as always very easy and welcoming it’s nice to be able to come and go through the separate entrance
A couple of plug sockets not working but not a problem if we asked I’m sure it would have been resolved if we asked but we were only there one night

Despite being sent a message that said we could order breakfast, we in fact could not order breakfast !!
The lack of fluency and mastery of the english language from one of the hotel workers.

For the price, I really have no complaints.
It was a shared bathroom, but I knew that before I got there. There were no staff around, other than for pre-arranged check in, so I was nervous that problems with the key card may stop me from entering the hotel and my room. I need not have been nervous - there were no problems with the key card.

The bed was so comfortable I didnt want to get out. Place was so clean, and the cleaning lady was such a doll, and very good at her job
The bed frame was a little to big for rhe room and im bruised because of it 🙃
Staff member that greeted me was so nice, and didnt say a word but just handed me the key

Leaving in the morning
Not a clean hotel. Dirty bedding and poor facilities with little heating and no sound proofing between room

Check in was quick and straightforward. There is no reception desk or area so you ring the door bell and are checked in by the restaurant staff where you are provided a key card for the main entrance and your room door. When checking out you simply leave the key card in a post box on the door.
The room was comfortable and clean although some parts were a little tired such as the chair. There were tea and coffee making facilities including snack bars and bottles of water, a TV, a fan and the WIFI worked well.
I had a room with an en-suite bathroom which was clean with decent towels. Basic toiletries were also provided which was a nice touch for a budget hotel.
The bed was comfy and even though some of the other hotel guests were very noisy overall I slept well.
The hotel is in a convenient location close to the centre (15 minute walk) with a large supermarket a block away which was very handy. It is on a busy road but overnight it was surprisingly quiet especially as the room windows are not double glazed.
The price was acceptable for an en-suite room especially given I booked very last minute.
The details did say there was a hairdryer in the room although I couldn't find one.
There was a bedside lamp but there didn't seem to be a plug socket nearby to plug it into.

Water pressure of the shower wasn’t great. Should have been more clear that hairdryer had to be requested. Can hear all the cars outside and my neighbours

Everything, the hotel is perfect as is the restaurant! I love the staff as they're friendly and incredibly welcoming, they never fail to amaze with their food especially! Last time I tried the thali but this time I was treated to the amazing pickle platter, their meat free keema (which despite being a meat eater I thoroughly enjoyed, I'd choose it again over meat anyday!) and some of their freshly made dhokla... seriously... the dholka was such a treat too! The mint and the tamarind sauce on that ridiculously delicate and fluffy dholka is something to come here for all by itself! Can't wait to go back!!
Leaving, I would live there if I could. 🤣😂

The location is great! Very close to the bus station and walking distance from everything. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, and the room was very clean. I will definitely stay there again.
Not a dislike so to speak just something to keep in mind.. the acoustic is not great so you can here everything from the rooms adjacent to yours.

Window had a clever little latch to lock it up securely which was important for a fear of heights, room was clean and had a fan which was perfect for the heat. The staff are impeccable and friendly, they really went out of their way to accommodate us and made us feel really welcome. The restaurant.. seriously, the restaurant! If you've never had their food then you seriously need to! None of this typical cultural appropriated curry house, it's all genuine Indian dishes, street food, every bite spectacular! Was introduced to the Pani Puri first, immediately fell in love! The young lady that wasn't even our original server even noticed how much we were enjoying it and brought us out more of the tamarind water which was quickly consumed! The cheesy masala dosa and the authentic thali just pushed it over the edge from love to obsession, honestly the best food I've ever had the honour to experience!
P.S. was about to post this review but just had to say how writing it has genuinely made my mouth water, honestly, the food! You won't regret trying it! 🤤❤️😋
P.S.S didn't have a picture of the Pani Puri as we were so excited to eat them we forgot to take a photo 😂🤤
Having to leave the restaurant, genuinely can't get their food of my mind. I'd eat there everyday for the rest of my life if I could. Genuinely the only actual negative for us was a rather loud netflix viewer in an adjacent room but that was nothing to do with the staff or the hotel. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay!

Room very clean and tidy ; breakfast very interesting variation on the normal with distinctive indian dishes in a terrific dining room
Road nearby quite noisy

This was the most terrible place i have ever stayed at in my entire travels. The mail said there would be a breakfast basket but there were only two tea and coffee bags which were not even replenished the next day. Their restaurant also does not provide breakfast
I stayed for two days. The room was not cleaned the next day. Two tea cups were washed and kept back. That’s it. Bed was not made. Toilet was not cleaned. It was just pathetic.

I looked on Booking.com dog friendly and was directed to Namaste Hotel,so booked it .we turned up and were rudely turned away. This resulted in us having to pay£153 pounds at a Holiday Inn.
They totally refused us with a small dog and said take it up with Booking.com.

Very nice staff, rooms have towels and water bottles, it's clean and tidy. Also the restaurant looked super nice (I didn't go there unfortunately, but you also get a discount and it's fully vegetarian). For the price you pay it's totally fine!
Unfortunately the walls are very thin, so I could hear my neighbours talking quite loudly. Also my room was towards the street, which was quite noisy.

Everything! I was expecting the room to be disappointing but I couldn't believe the high standard. The complimentary tea, coffee, water by the bed was a nice touch. The fan was a God send in this weather. The window opened fully (usually they are covered over in paint) for fresh air & the blinds moved freely up & down without collapsing to the floor. There was also a clean towel on the bed in case you needed one. The bathroom was surprisingly clean considering it was shared. The close proximity to the bus/coach station & town centre is all within walkable distance. I could go on.....will book again.
Suggestions - (1) May be a mini fridge in the room to keep drinks, etc bought from outside cool.(2) Not sure if 'no lift access' is mentioned on 'Bookings.com'.

Clean and cheap accommodation which was located nicely for my needs. Did not have the chance to use the restaurant which I m going to do next time.
It is a cheap option, so no luxury. It was quite hot while there and the room was hot, and difficult to cool down. The restaurant people were however helpful to take my melted chockolade and warm water into their fridge! The cleaning staff were also very nice.

The worst experience that I had for myself and my family. Never ever going back to this company. Don't know how to treat a customer. Had to file a complaint to booking.com later to the Namaste Palace Hotel regarding their service but everything was in vein. Didn't stay in the hotel but still they charged money and when asked for a refund they totally manipulated the situation.
I would go on if I wanted to say something. All I would like to say is poor customer experience, poor arrangement with the room and worst treating given to customers. All they need is money apart from that nothing else.

Well located, close to Norwich city center. Checkin and checkout were very quick, as staff opened the door and handed us the key card, which we were able to just drop in the checkout box at the end. The room was clean and had all the essentials. We took the en suite bathroom, which was a good idea.
The road is busy and noisy throughout the night. The room was hot (25-27 degrees) and opening the windows did not help. Also the inner walls provide zero sound insulation, so we could hear everyone's TVs. Some of the other guests had little regard for quiet after hours - one of them thought it was a good idea to play fetch with their dog at 2 AM, calling loudly and running around. We had to use earplugs and still did not get a good rest. Will look for other accommodation options next time.
