It’s above a nightclub but we did know that

I booked this place for an overnight work stay, I arrived to find the door locked and was unable to gain access despite ringing the bell. I phoned the number on the door to be told somebody was at the property and would come and let me in. I waited 45 mins and despite ringing the number a few times nobody came to open the door. So I had to book another place to stay. I was later phoned by Mr Belmonte who was very apologetic and promised me a refund but this never materialised and booking.com refused to intervene as it was after the check in date

Great location. Near the centre of town and easy walk from station. Very clean.

Shower was either scolding hot or freezing cold with even with small adjustments it made no difference. Weak water pressure in shower. Hot tap in sink didn’t get hot for shave. Room 7

It was a nice size room, and the bed was comfy . The staff was very friendly and helpful, and having a bar downstairs was great

Well, the room was cold. The heater did not work. The staff couldn't do it, but there did sort little one out the heater in the bathroom did not work the shower rail was broken you had to hld with one hand it was cold there was no soap provided i think that is something every bathroom could have

The proximity to the town

AVOID! This was as bad as the other reviews suggest. The location is central but on a very busy street and, yes OVER A NIGHT CLUB. I sleep pretty well anywhere but this was LOUD so combined with the sirens, boy racers and shouty drunk people sleep before 3am was pretty impossible. The accommodation itself grim and definitely no deep clean has happened anytime recently. Thankfully I was only there one night otherwise would have rebooted somewhere else. Please do not stay here it is not fit for purpose in any way.

Toni the owner was very friendly, the room was clean, tidy and modern. 11am check out was good rather than 10 as many places expect.

The noise from the bar can be heard but to be honest it didn't bother us because we had a late night.

It's said its noisey as theres a nightclub underneath it, I can see this being an issue however it was closed while I stayed there

You get warned off the noise has i seen reviews moaning about it its what you get above a night club but i understand what they mean tho vibrating floor lol and more shame not sound proof so you could sleep better

The building door bell and the Ring door bell on the front of the property didn't work, so had to call the a number to get let in. This on its own would be fine but it all started to add up. The main light in the room didn't work, only one of the plug sockets next to the bed worked, the other had something jammed in there. The heater/dryer above the bathroom door did not work. The wardrobe was lopsided and the door on it was keeping the carcass square, once the door was opened the carcass would go slightly rhomboid shape and the door could not be closed without pushing the entire wardrobe carcass back. Quite run down (lots of paint peel and shoddy repairs. All this could be forgiven as it is a cheap location in the city, the below was too much though: The hotel sits above Mojo's nightclub that goes until 0300 in the morning. The bass is inescapable with windows shut and my earphones in. I paid for 2 nights, after the first night of little sleep I requested a refund for my second night as I had an early event on the next day and couldn't do another club music until 0300am night. The receptionist understood however it is all handled by other people over the phone. I was rang at 22:00 and was told in order to refund I would need to give my 16 digit card number over the phone (which is only needed for taking money off my card). I informed them I can give my account and sort code as that is how to put money on my card but they were insisted on getting my 16 digit number - I did not give it. I dread to think what could have happened, I can only assume I was attempting to be scammed. If I was simply refunded I would have accepted the place for what it is. I paid for another hotel further out the city the 2nd night. This place is more like dated student accommodation, the 3 stars booking.com have it as are no way verified.

Very affordable and close to the city centre.

Friday night/morning!! The hotel is part of/situated above a night club which was absolutely no problem Monday to Friday, however get to the weekend and it gets noisy with the sound of “music” below.

Loved how spacey the room was, the bed was comfortable and we got a good night sleep for sure. The owner was friendly and engaging. would like to stay there again for sure

Comfortable. Friendly staff. There's a music night downstairs (Friday) free for people staying. (Some noise) Extra hour before exit time if there's a music night. Car park (multi storey) and supermarket very close. We had lunch at a pub very close.

Music downstairs could be a problem for light sleepers, but it wasn't for us.

I would not recommend this property to anyone.

We were in the attic room. The staircase to the attic room would be very difficult or even impossible if disabled and this should be made clear when booking. The floors sloped badly, especially in the bathroom. The water was cloudy and unpleasant. The wifi did not work and had not been working for 2 weeks. There were no instructions in the event of a fire. The fire alarm went off and no one came to assist or to see what the problem was. Whilst the nightclub below did not affect us as we went Monday to Wednesday, there was no warning of this and it would have been a problem had it been open.

I was never contacted by the hotel, no information given so I could access the room. The number is invalid an the email too, when trying to contact the property. Booking.com customer service is just as poor... no contact from then either. Trying to get a refund and still nothing from anyone. Not cool booking.com, really going downhill fast as a service, used to be great.

The coffee and biscuit variety was excellent and even had real coffee creamer and not just milk for it.

I felt that it should have been at least £10/£15 cheaper for the night. Although we were aware that it is in the middle of town, we had to queue up to get to our room as it was part of a night club. The bed was a bit springy, the mattress needed to be upgraded.

Nice and easy check in,good comunication beforehand via email,very genuine and a great location everthing close by.

Not much ive been 5 times now this year..Just so others are aware,it is above the mojos nightclub,so can get lively and loud fridays and saturday,but you could join in or put tv on loud..but you get an extra hour in bed now,check ot 11am.

Excellent location - short walk to train station. Room was at the back of the building which meant it quiet which was great as hotel is located on a busy road.

The main light in the room did not work. I don't know if the bulb had gone. However, this was a very minor issue.

Property was excellent! Staff incredibly friendly and accommodating. Location superb and the price can’t be beaten.
