A hidden gem

Very hospitable host Breakfast bits and pieces did the job well. Very easy walk in to the city. As we have family nearby I am sure we will be back Thank you

Very pleasant setting with comfortable, quiet accommodation & yet so near the city. Ideal.

The Summer room is ideally located for visiting the city centre which is about a 20min walk so easy walk to & from the Theatre. Nice comfortable bed & lovely big comfy sofa with a lovely view to the garden. Hosts were really welcoming & friendly. Thank you.

Just a small suggestion as the room was very cold on arrival it may be worth putting that on a bit earlier on really cold days but that said it was lovely & warm on return from Theatre & there is a portable heater also available.

Great place to stay. Exceptional value of there is two of you.

The entire accommodation was spacious with everything you could need. The complimentary scones and jam was lovely, along with the fresh bread, coffee, milk and breakfast cereals and juice.

Not sure if it had a hair dryer, that would of been nice. A cooked breakfast option would have been nice.

Quiet location, just a 10 minute walk to the City centre. Lovely little apartment with everything you could want, breakfast supplies also excellent to start your day. Flavoured tea also a bonus!!

Lovely cosy Anex. Perfect for our overnight stop

Everything we needed in a lovely cozy place. Plenty of choice for our breakfast. Lovely to have scones as well as bread. Took about 15 mins walk into the city. Would happily stay again.

Home Away From Home

The "room" is actually a lovely small apartment with totally separate entrance through the garden. There's a fridge, microwave and other small appliances. We loved how bright of was and the owners are wonderfully helpful. We particularly liked being within walking distance of groceries and all the city attractions.

Tranquility on the edge of town!

We expected a room and instead got a lovely garden apartment in a wonderfully quiet spot on the edge of the city centre. Kay the host was lovely and gave us some top tips about Norwich and The Broads. We will definitely stay again the next time we are in Norwich.

Located on a quiet tree lined avenue but within easy reach of the bars, restaurants and sights of medieval Norwich. Spacious, clean and comfortable accommodation with the added benefit of off-street parking and access to a secluded south facing garden.

Very comfortable stay in a good location

Location is excellent, room is in effect an annex/granny flat, with separate sitting/dining room, bedroom and bathroom (actually shower not bath). Shower is good (just need to be a little patient while the hot water comes through). Hosts are very friendly and helpful.

Only marked down value score a touch because there’s no cooked breakfast option, which might be expected at the price (although for my purposes the self service cereal-yoghurt-toast-coffee breakfast actually worked very well).

Perfect hideaway for two!

Lovely owner who was really helpful about providing non-dairy milk. Perfect little hideaway, with a lovely garden to sit in; just the right size for two people for a base. Having a fridge and small kitchenette was brilliant. We'll totally come back!

Chairs were a bit small. especially if you're bigger than average, but there was a lovely sofa to sit on as well.

Excellent amenities, excellent location, we were able to park 2 vehicles, and the family were extremely helpful with advice on local services to access the concert we were there to visit.

Very enjoyable stay, but could perhaps benefit from some small changes highlighted above

Location was great, lovely garden. Comfy bed, very friendly hosts.

No privacy blind over the bathroom window. Would benefit from a sink in the kitchen, although limited space. Had to get water from the sink in the bathroom and wait for dirty plates/cutlery to be collected and replaced. Breakfast first day was delivered, bread/bagels, butter, jam, bananas and yoghurt and juice, cereal in cupboard. Second day no yoghurt or bananas. Luckily we took bottles of water for tea and coffee, wouldn’t like to use the bathroom sink.

Privacy was very good. Own garden area for sitting out. Easy parking. Within easy walking of town.

We thought the indoor plants near door should be moved back into the garden as there was a lot of ant activity around the floor. Also in the bathroom but that was remedied by blocking the hole they were coming through - part of garden life and not really an issue but maybe other people would not be so easy going and may leave a detrimental revue which really would not be fair.

A comfy, lovely place to stay

Comfy bed! I have an old, achy bod, so I always know when I travel that I might encounter beds I don't like, but not here! The bed was great and I slept well. Everything was very clean. The rooms were roomy, not cramped. I arrived a little early in the hopes I could drop off my luggage while I explored the city, and I was graciously accommodated. Although the location is walkable from the city center, there is also a bus stop only a few minutes away, which I made frequent use of. It was also very quiet (except for birdsong, which I do not object to at all).

I can't think of anything; everything was great. I accidentally left behind a bag of carrot sticks in the fridge, and I hope that did not trouble my hosts--that was all my mistake.

A nice rest after a long day and lovely host

Could have done with being able to put the heating on as it went cooler at night, as the weather wasn’t really warm. This isn’t a complaint just something to consider as the heating gets turned off at 4pm. Maybe turn off in the day and leave on in the evening if required.

Kay and Alan went out of their way to be accommodating and helpful. They put the heating on for us. Chatted and gave us good recommendations to eat and see in the city. Bed was comfortable. Good size bathroom Parking- and the place was easy to find, in a very nice location.

May be a bit more variety for breakfast- some cheeses/hams etc, would have been nice.

Quaint and central to everything.

This quaint apartment has all you need for a two night stay and we enjoyed sitting in the garden each evening and having a drink and review of the day. Kay and Alan were welcoming, friendly and went out of their way to make sure that we had all we needed. We were made to feel like family from arrival to departure.

Couldn't have wished for a more comfortable stay, thanks, a very helpful & friendly family. This self contained accomodation was decorated, cleaned & maintained to a very high standard, has private entrance & parking, top quality breakfast facilities in room, south-ish facing patio door to well kept peaceful garden & is close to bus service for town centre. Highly recommend for overnight or more.

Very comfortable and relaxing accommodation. Breakfast selection was perfect for us with good continental type breakfast choices. Approximately half an hour walk into the city centre and lots of things to see. We visited the Cathedral and the Strangers Museum, both of which were really interesting. We had a lovely riverside walk, visited the market and the very interesting and often historic surrounding streets. Good local bus service too if required.

It was a good stay and I'd go there again.

The location was good and the accommodation was great - the bed was comfortable and we were left breakfast. Kay and her husband were really friendly, as were their dogs.

The shower head was fixed. I couldn't have a shower without soaking my hair so I didn't have one. I'll make sure I have a shower cap next time I go away.

The set up was good, very quite and private, everything in the kitchen you would need for a 1 night sleep over, Boxes of cereal to choose from (6) 3 types of bread 5 types of coffee and no end of teas. Orange juice and fresh milk plus yoghurt, more then plenty for 2
