Disappointing, some good parts but left several things to be desired

The room was fairly spacious, although the bathroom was a little small. Staff seemed fairly helpful and polite. Hotel is a 2 minute walk from a large asda supermarket, which is convenient. Hotel is next door to a david lloyd facility, which is good if youre a member with them. Plenty of parking, £5 per night for parking isnt too bad, better than other hotels I have stayed at. Free wi-fi is useful.

The hotel REALLY needs a deep clean. The corridors between the lift/stairs and the room were visibly dirty and had a weird scent, similar story in the room too. The lift also seems like it badly needs maintenance, it was slow and janky, sounds like itll break down at any moment. The bed in the room was quite firm, this is more subjective to me and my partner but it made for not-brilliant levels of sleep. The window in the room wasnt openable whatsoever, so getting fresh air into the room was basically impossible. The breakfast included, whilst free, was disappointing. The scrambled egg was clearly not made with actual egg, the hash browns seemed poor, the sausages were quite soft and the bacon wasnt really cooked all that well.

Budget friendly option.

Decent value for money. The staff were very friendly and always had a smile. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with all the basic necessities. Asda is right opposite if you need anything.

One of the staff members was condescending. A guest before us adjusted the toaster machine to a low setting, and the staff allowed it. When we changed it back to toast our food, she spoke to us in a condescending manner, which we did not appreciate. Breakfast was acceptable for the price we paid. However, some items, such as the eggs, were dripping and soggy. The bathroom floor was mouldy, and the window had a crack in it. The location does not have a microwave, even in the common area, and the TV in the room is not a smart TV, so we could not connect our streaming services.

Lone female one night stay

The staff were friendly and helpful, available should you need them and happy to sort issues. The whole hotel inside was spotlessly clean and smelled beautiful.

The room was cold and the air con/heater even set at 25°C did little to warm the room. The connecting door to the neighbours room offered little soundproofing and although locked felt a little disconcerting to a lone female traveller.

Short restful stay

The staff were very helpful and attentive. Room was very well equipped even there was an iron that I needed. The lights were very well placed and the room was at optimal temperature. We really enjoyed our stay.

The heating didn’t work correctly. The staff provided a portable heater to which we still couldn’t feel the heat. I had to request more blankets to keep me and my partner warm.

The staff were lovely A welcoming entrance We liked the breakfast area I particularly liked the thick yogurt and fresh fruit

Personally the bed was too hard for me. But we had a sofa bed in the room which wás more comfortable, so I asked for an ex duvet and sheet and slept on that instead. Husband was happy with the firm mattress. Sofa bed mattress was somewhat grubby. There were no croissants on Christmas day!

A pleasant stay easy to get room met with all our requirements

The room met with our requirements The bed was comfortable and spacious. The shower was good and generous supplies of soap and shampoo. We did find that the toilet was a little to low for as we are in our mid 60s. There was a good selection for breakfast to choose from.

The best stay

Our staying was the best. The stuff were really friendly and accommodating to all of our needs. Making sure everything is fine. Our stay here was just amazing. Usually, I can always find some dislikes, but it was really so comfortable and pleasant from a very start. I could live there. Extremely clean. Which is the biggest plus ever. We came as the family of 4, 2 young kids, toddler and a baby. Extending sofa was a size of a double bed and arranging cot was easy to require. Beds that we were sleeping in very comfortable and resting. They gave us a good sleep. With enough pillows for a pillowe person, like myself. Outside was quite cold, but the inside we could be in a very light clothes and at no point was cold or freezing, like in some hotels. I enjoyed my staying very much. I want to give them the best review, they really deserved it. Parking was right in front of the hotel, at good location, having ASDA nearby was convenient as well. We were there for the breakfast and the food was fresh and tasty. Thank you.

A very exceptable stay.

Our stay at the holiday inn was very good. Excellent position we were able to get a bus just outside the car park into Norwich city centre. There were a couple of pubs in walking distance and a very good Indian restaurant. The breakfast was also very good, and a good choice.

We found the mattress very hard, it gave us back ache and was very uncomfortable. We would've preferred to have eaten at the hotel rather than having to go elsewhere.

Breakfast is awful. The sausages and bacon, weren't cooked enough. Everything is substandard. In future we'll stay at this hotel for convenience, but we'll go and get breakfast nextdoor at Asda.

How quiet the room was with no TV on, was lovely and peaceful enjoyable rest time. The soft fluffy towels and powerful hairdryer. Reception also were able to provide me with a comb because I forgot mine lol.

Comfortable and clean

Stayex one night with work and the room was comfortable and clean with a small work table. Continental breakfast was nice and the staff very pleasant

There were no vegetarian options for the cooked breakfast and charging £7.50 for a pint is ridiculous. No wonder the hospitality is on it's knees.
