Charming Norwich hotel - excellent value for money

Great location on outskirts of Norwich. Ample parking. Good size room and large Bathroom with shower and bath. Charming hotel ! Great last restaurant/ba area. Dinner menu is very reasonably priced and excellent value for money. Full English breakfast was also very good ! Would definitely stay again.

A small gripe. The hotel WiFi doesn't work with the older generation smart TV in the room.

Suite spacious heated floors,tv,tea tray, with biscuits, fan in room,hairdryer,bed soft,not sure if pillows where feather, sofa , en-suite shower and bath, nice toiletries,showed microwave in picture, wasn’t one,in cupboard toaster, safe in bedroom, plug sockets beside bed,(calthorpe suite) ground floor,sited round the back of hotel, big car park, lovely bar,peroni 3.30 half so not overly pricey, could due with a fridge.

Only niggle was that the bath was quite high and the shower was weak due to water pressure probably but only an issue because my mum is 96 and found it difficult to get in to

Enjoyable comfortable friendly hotel

Welcoming staff. Very helpful We attended a wedding . The day was excellant . Food lovely . Venue amazing. The host made sure every went to plan. Highly recommended.

To me everything was fine. Apart from fried breakfast which could of been cooked more.

Very hit n miss

The suite was large with an excellent bathroom.

The staff were the rudest and most unwelcoming I have ever experienced, apart from the cleaner. I was not told there would be a wedding on outside my window, which was loud enough to keep me awake til midnight, or that my room would be up flights of stairs. The staff were very friendly to some regular guests, but not to me. Wouldn't return here despite the nice room.

I felt welcome here

A warm welcoming feel (I arrived in winter). The senior staff member who welcomed and helped me when I had issues with my door card; was outstanding, amazing in fact! - Not a perfect score as whilst the hotel was clean and modern and welcoming; one other staff member was distant and I felt I was secondary to what was going on, on their mobile phone screen (although I did achieve what I set out to do). - I would certainly recommend this hotel to any and all customers

Not enough area to sit due to functions that they had no allowance for other guests the shower wouldn’t turn down extractor fan wasn’t working toilet was filthy taps weren’t working properly lights weren’t working under bedroom unit

Nice large room, really nice and good sized breakfast. Evening dinner was good value and tasted ok. Clean and comfortable. Plenty of parking. Big TV.

Building and rooms were extremely dated , unmaintained and disappointment. Expecting a luxury building and rooms but seriously in need of maintenance, good clean money spent on it. Dreadful prices of drinks at bar and extremely ruined drinks by watered down and beer being flat

Welcoming staff good looking rooms but bed bugs:/

The staff were lovely, both the night porter and the receptionist. The night porter was consoling me after a long night and making sure I got in safely. Lovely man

The bed was comfortable but in the morning I woke up and noticed a bug in the bed I just took it off and didn’t think too much of it, which I deeply regret. As the day went on I realised I was getting itchy and have bites all over my body. So I advise that when you stay there, you double check and do what you need to do to ensure it won’t happen to you. It’s a shame as it’s the only thing that went wrong, but probably one of the worst things that could happen.

I booked online for a dog friendly room but when I arrived I was told that the room was not friendly and was relocated to an outside disabled suite.

It was a bit remote and specifically for disabled people so the basin was very low. Not cosy at all

Stayed in one of the suites. Was spacious and nicely decorated. Had all the modern charging points etc. kettle etc….

I was staying with my friend so she had the main bedroom, which was incredibly hot! The sofa bed was large but I had to ask for extra sheets and there was no duvet. It’s not the most comfortable as you can feel the ridges. There was also no fridge, so couldn’t keep any drinks cold, would have been nice to have a mini fridge.

Hotel is ok but staff are not

The room was large and clean.

Although there is a kitchen area in the room there was no fridge. With the exception of one friendly female staff member who was working on afternoon of Saturday 4 October, the other staff are dismissive, unfriendly and verging on rude. We had an event going on and staff were not particularly helpful, except for the young female staff. Everything seemed to be an inconvenience to the other staff. No sense of welcome from check in at reception, to bar staff to breakfast. This is the overriding memory of our stay. I would not stay again based on that.

“Allocated” a room in a house sort of near the main hotel. Bed definitely seen better days!! Furnishings cheap. Didn’t feel like a hotel at all and it wasn’t. Just a dingy room. Good it was only 1 night. And to cap it all no spoons!!!

Location great, food very good, breakfast top notch. Only negative for me was the suites were in need of some tlc, looking tired, chipped table, no fridge, moss covered balcony, grounds needing a tidy.
