Absolutely fantastic, the host at Marianna Quiet Rooms is incredibly helpful, and the room was great

This room was very spacious and well appointed. The host is incredibly kind, helpful, and knowledgeable about Monterosso and the surrounding towns of Cinque Terre. He made a lot of great recommendations that we took and it made our trip more enjoyable.

The air conditioning wasn’t functional during our stay, however this seems like a one off occurrence due to previous guests not following the rules and potentially damaging the unit.

Monterosso and our were we stayed was beautiful and relaxing.

The property was close to cafes, restaurants and the beaches. Also a quick 15 minute walk from the train station.

We loved everything so we don’t have anything negative to add.

It as a satisfactory stay and met my needs.

Comfortable and clean. It is at a good location and easy to get to from the train station. I only stayed for one night and it suited my needs.

The air conditioner wasn’t working. To be fair, Giorgio turned up within 10 minutes to look at it. Unfortunately, he couldn’t get it to work. However, I realised later it was to do with the batteries in the remote control and I managed to get it working, thankfully, as it was a very hot night.

Three Nights in Monterosso

The host Giorgio was exceptional in his helpfulness and thoughtfulness. The room was spotlessly clean. His directions from the station were excellent.

The airconditioner would not adjust below 24 degrees which was a little uncomfortable as it was quite warm inside the room.

A lovely place to stay in Monterosso with a genuinely friendly and helpful host.

A very good location in the old part of Monterosso. Good standards and clean facility. Giorgio is the perfect host and we would recommend anyone to rent this place for a stay in Monterosso.

Pleasant enough, but poor AC

location was great, my brief interactions with the staff were good, and the room was very clean and spacious.

The matress was too soft, which is obviously a preference thing, but it was the first matress in 7 hotels/guesthouses that I thought was too soft. The biggest issue for me was the AC. They have put a child lock on the AC remote that cannot be bypassed locally. this means you cannot set the temperature lower than 24C° and it turns itself off at around 1am. I do not think this is acceptable, especially when it's July and this is not indicated anywhere.

Excellent location in Monterosso. Room was comfortable and perfectly clean. Giorgio was very hospitable and made sure we had everything we needed.

Clean room but useless air conditioner

Clean, modern, and great location

The air conditioning was worthless. The first two nights it was bad, but the third and last night was horrible because the landlord did something and changed configuration so the default temperature was set to 24 degrees. And the ac was set to be active only in short periods, meaning it became really warm in between, probably around 26 degrees since it was 30 degrees celcius outside. Basically we hardly slept at all the last night, and no matter how clean a room is it doesn't make up for not being able to sleep.

Don’t bother booking this property

Do not even bother booking this property. The host is inconsiderate and highly inflexible. He insisted that the check in time was 8pm. I told him hours before that I was going to be 30-60mins late max due to traffic and other reasons, but he didn’t want to wait at all. I was stranded for the night and had to pay for another hotel because of this inflexible host who didn’t have any understanding whatsoever that people can get delayed sometimes. Host didn’t even consider leaving the keys in a keybox or something, like most modern hosts. I did arrive at the property just to check anyway, and he implied I was lying which is quite rude after all the inconvenience he caused us

The location was perfect and Giorgio our host was fantastic and very helpful. Breakfast served by Giorgio on the balcony each morning was a fun and unexpected bonus. The room was nicely renovated and very clean.

Feel at home in the Quiet Rooms.

Georgio really cares and gives a personal touch. He has a lot of pride in his building and in Monterosso. It was so nice to get to know him. He recommended things to do and how to do them. We really felt at home. The village is tight knit. Definitely a positive contrast from the cities. The building we were in was situated close to all the happenings for the lemon festival and anything else you want to do. We ate very well, enjoyed the local lemon competitors, did a hike, waded in the sea, explored the town and church on the hill.

We didn't have enough time. The steps to the room were steep and many but that's just the way old buildings are.

Perfect choice for a stay in Monterosso.

Giorgio was an amazing host, serving us breakfast every morning, and giving us tons of helpful advice and suggestions. Thanks to his advice, we went to Portofino for a day, hired bikes and did the cycle from Levanto to Framura, which we wouldn’t have known about without Georgio. The location is perfect, in the heart of the old town, but so quiet. The washing line outside the window, and pegs provided were really helpful. Georgio also offered us beach towels, which were great for our swims. Thanks Georgia. We had a great time in beautiful Monterosso.

We would have loved a kettle - perhaps in the communal space, to make a cup of tea.

Great place.

Two things make a trip fulfilling, the location and the people. Marianna’s had both in spades. The town is charming, but Georgio the owner made it a 10 star. He is so passionate about his home town and wants you to enjoy your stay that it’s like staying with a friend. He told us the “must see” things, how to work around all the tourists and navigate the 5 towns, and being a foodie, recommended the BEST places to eat. He really made the trip! And yes there are a lot of steps, but Georgio is adamant that he’ll carry your bags up & down and make sure it’s your best stay ever! Highly recommend.

The host Giorgio was amazing, his communication before arrival was exceptional and provided us with everything we needed to know about the area. He also served us breakfast on the balcony every morning which was a lovely treat and sent us away with some food on our final day for travelling. Was all round an amazing experience and I could not recommend our experience staying here enough!

Really enjoyed our stay here. Our host was incredibly welcoming and friendly! Room was spacious and comfortable located in a great area of Monterosso near to the start of the hiking trail to Vernazza. Would definitely stay here again!

It’s like a hotel. Each room has its own lock. The bed was made each day and breakfast served every morning. The host, Georgio, is exceptional. Carries bags up stairs and is super nice. Best place we’ve stayed in so far!

Giorgio is an amazing host! So attentive and hospitable. We appreciated the early check-in so we could go hiking, and the yummy breakfast in the morning! The room was large, clean, and comfortable and nicely decorated. Great value for the area!

Amazing place. Paradise on earth. Wish we could have stayed longer

Located up a quaint alley in the heart of the old town, Georgio will tell you it’s the oldest in the village, but it has been beautifully modernised. Light, airy and convenient. I have never seen a cleaner room. The bathroom surfaces literally gleamed. Georgio will feed you breakfast whilst entertaining you. Be careful! He will keep feeding unless you say stop! He also has a wicked sense of humour and delights in being puckish. He’s an absolute delight. So helpful and engaging.

We can definitely recommend Marianna Quiet Rooms and would stay there again!

Charming property in a charming location. Giorgio gave attention to every detail and was a warm, accommodating host. The balcony where we had breakfast was small but he made it work. Breakfast included a variety of fresh pasteries daily with many cereal, fruit, juice, coffee, and bread options to choose from as well. He even gave us some extra foccaccia and juice boxes to take with us for our hike. The host has done a great job renovating a medieval building and the establishment was very pleasant.

We initially had difficulty finding it using Google maps. But we eventually found it and Giorgio was outside looking for us and called our names so we could find him on the narrow "street".

Exceptional

The breakfast was delicious and served with pride by Giorgio, the owner, himself. The location was perfect. Giorgio ensured our needs were met and then some! Even giving us some fresh focaccia to take for the day. The hotel is very modern and nicely appointed with all amenities. We did not expect such spaciousness in the rooms, especially the bathroom.

The location was perfect and the facilities were great but what made the stay perfect was Giorgio our host. He went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and well looked after. Clearly proud of Monterosso, Giorgio made a good holiday great.
