This was a perfect hotel in a beautiful spot in the world.

The location of the hotel was perfect -- close to everything but a bit up a small alley so it was quiet. The breakfast was amazing! They served everything from pastries, fruit, to special order egg dishes. We loved the outdoor sitting area near the lobby for gathering before and after outings - also a there is a bar open all day for coffee and drinks. Overall it was a great experience. Highly recommend!

Some of the rooms are very small, but that is quite normal for Europe. My room with a balcony had a plenty of space.

Hotel Souvenir was a superb hotel. Both Patricia & the staff were excellent and we cant thank them enough for a wonderful stay. The location is amazing and the hotel grounds were truly mesmerising with tropical plants and some great views in to the hills. To get to the Hotel is around a 10 minute walk from Monterosso train station. If you turn left out of the station and walk up the hill you will pass through a small tunnel. The tunnel is great with little displays in the wall and music playing which was brilliant and all the family enjoyed it. Once you exit the tunnel which takes around 3 minutes to walk you will see some arches and a playground which was brilliant and my daughter loved it. If you head up via Roma street and walk for about 3 minutes you will see the sign for Hotel Souvenir. It is then a short but beautiful walk to the hotel past a small church which is really worth a visit. The room was excellent and cleaned daily. Also the breakfast was wonderful and had everything you could ask for. Thank you Patricia for recommending the walk between Riomaggiore & Manarola the views were breath-taking and we were sorry we didn't get to say goodbye and thank you. The Hotel is a 3 minute walk from a beach and there are other beaches just a short distance along the Monterosso front. The Giant statue is a few minutes walk from the train station if you turn right out of it. The train station has great links to Pisa and other places. Also, most of the other villages in Cinque Terre are only a few minutes away on the train. There are lots of place to eat in Monterosso with great food which is well priced. I would highly recommend Hotel Souvenir the staff, room, breakfast and location were amazing and we look forward to staying there again in the future.

Convenient, quiet, perfection because it’s in Monterosso.

Off the beaten path. Quaint and quiet. Room was a decent size. Staff were very friendly.

A bit pricey. It wasn’t much more affordable than our standard room at Hotel Porto Roca and didn’t have the same location or view. The bed was also VERY stiff. We woke up with lower back pain.

We loved Patrizia and the whole crew. Breakfast was exceptional and the outside seating area was most enjoyable. Seriously, Patrizia (aka Wonder Woman) did it all. We were so impressed and most grateful. Everyone else followed her lead and represented your establishment wonderfully!

A beautiful stay in montessaro.

Location was very perfect, it was in the old area full of restaurants and sights, about a 10min walk from the train station, but I didn’t mind that since the views were breathtaking. Hotel was easy to get to, but take care since it is all cobblestones and very narrow so that last bit to the hotel you have to carry your baggage, also there is a stairs to approach, there is no lift so you ll have to carry your baggage. Rooms were very clean and no complaints on the facilities, we had the room with the terrace, highly recommended. As there is a partial view of the sea and the rest of the seaside.

It is not the easiest if you have issues with walking or lifting things, since there is no lift or accessible path, but that is not a reflection on the hotel since the topography is such, that there is no room to have those amenities.

If you are just looking for a very convenient place to sleep. It's worth considering, but pricey

The staff was friendly and accommodating. The location is superb and the outside courtyard is beautiful

The rooms are extremely small. The shower handle would rotate up and spray water all over the bathroom. I had to wedge it with a washcloth to prevent it from spraying all over. They were unable to fix it and suggested I just hold it.

Location is amazing !!! It was exceptionally clean, the staff were amazing and so helpful. Accommodation is very, very basic - no bells & whistles. Shower is tiny but water is hot and pressure fantastic. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was lovely.

It was as to be expected at this price point and given the amazing location, there were no issues.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel! A special thanks to the incredibly friendly staff who kindly arranged a late check-in for us after hours — we really appreciated their flexibility and warm welcome. The room was clean and comfortable, though a bit dated, but it had everything we needed. Breakfast was good with a nice selection, and the location is simply amazing — close to everything and perfect for exploring the area.

I read the reviews but not what I expected.

The AC unit worked well. Breakfast was good, except there was a coffee machine and not fresh coffee. The wait staff was accommodating. The bathroom was updated.

Needs refurbishing. The hallways and stairway la need improvement. The reception area smells. And lots of stairs to climb with luggage. Our bathroom was tiny and the room was small. The walls are thin. The room was clean, but the beds were very hard, and not my preference. The location was a bit uphill and out of the way, although we were told to get there was walkable and close to the train, with big luggage in the heat this was not realistic and was a challenge.

From start to finish we loved our stay! the hotel staff were so kind and welcoming they made our stay excellent. The hotel property and room is clean and the free breakfast is yummy. all the staff we came across were very nice especially Joseph. he helped us up to our room, and at check out time he assisted us with our luggages to the taxis. Hoping to come back again, highly recommend a stay here! The town is so dreamy!

The service was impeccable, I was offered storage for my bag before check-in and after check-out, a beach towel and staff was amazing and polite at all time. Location is great, few steps from the main road but still quiet.

Perfect base to explore Cinque Terre

Perfect base for exploring Monterosso, as well as Cinque Terre on the whole. Less than a 5minute walk from the beach, there were plenty of restaurants near the hotel and an ideal playground within a 5 minute walk for our son to enjoy. Anyone who has kids, we would recommend this hotel. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast buffet selection was fantastic.

Lovely accommodations, fantastic location and wonderful hosts!

Perfect location, steps from Piazza Tasso. The owners were unbelievably helpful from checking in, to transportation, to booking tours and making restaurant suggestions. They even remembered our anniversary with Champaign and a rose! Loved our stay in Sorrento, so happy we picked this location!
