Lovely vintage apartment with a view!

This hotel had such a lovely, family-owned charm with a warm and sweet vibe throughout. You can tell the owner has poured her whole heart into maintaining the business, and it really shows in the care and attention to detail. The facilities were well maintained, the style leans more vintage, and the views were absolutely wonderful. A truly heartfelt place to stay.

OK stay, but terrible shower and lighting made it a less than pleasant experience.

Manager was rude. Not enough light in the room, I could not do any reading. Shower was atrocious, very tough to get in and out of.

Great facility!

We loved our room, which was a corner room on the first floor. It had two balcony doors, and we loved opening them for the view. It was close to the train station and only a 15 minute walk to old town.

Retro vibes in Cinque Terre

Excellent location just steps from Fegina (Il Gigante) beach! The hotel is only a comfortable 5–6 minute walk from Monterosso train station – and since it’s not located uphill, that’s a big plus when carrying luggage. It’s a family-run hotel with a charming retro vibe, overall very pleasant. Rooms are on the smaller side, but honestly, you don’t come to Cinque Terre to stay indoors. Bedsheets were clean, beds comfortable, and the A/C worked well. One of the highlights is the wide outdoor terrace, perfect for enjoying a drink from the hotel bar and relaxing late into the evening. They also provide beach towels and umbrellas, which is a thoughtful bonus. Special thanks to Maria (the owner) and Ricardo, who were both very kind and helpful. I asked for a room change, and they accommodated my request immediately, no questions asked. Monterosso al Mare is my favorite of all the Cinque Terre towns, because it is more lively and has proper beaches. I originally chose 5 Terre Hotel for its proximity to the beach and train station, but I would definitely return.

Recommendations: Would be nice to have softer towels. Breakfast would be even better with more fruits and veggies.

I do not recommend it, it is dangerous to use their parking lot

Only the location is good

There's no contact with the hotel after payment. You can write in any language, and they don't answer; the phone is answered by an elderly woman who doesn't understand English. I chose the hotel because of the on-site parking, but it turned out you have to leave your car keys or go to a public parking lot. They assure you everything is safe. However, on the day of departure, I discovered that they damaged my entire bumper in their gated parking lot. They pretended not to know what happened and didn't even try to help, even though it was their employee who parked and exited guests' cars. Breakfast was basic, the same ham, cheese, and hard-boiled eggs every day. There were no vegetables. There was no refrigerator in the room. Housekeeping consisted of changing towels and making the bed; they didn't mop the floor, sweep, or deliver paper.The cleaning staff has been very loud in front of the rooms since the morning. I never expected that they would damage my car so much in a gated hotel parking lot and pretend nothing happened. It's good that I have my own recordings of what the car looked like when it entered and left. That's why I don't recommend it. There are many hotels nearby with parking at this price, and I regret that my vacation started with them and ended in frustration.

This is definitely a 'value for money' choice on the Ligurian coast.

- proximity to "Spiaggia del Gigante" (~5 minute walk); - general cleanliness and quietness of the hotel; - proximity to train station (~12 minute walk); - room cleaning staff.

- size of the room and bathroom (could be more spacious); - breakfasts (more accustomed to continental ones, with larger varieties of food/drinks).

Excellent hotel and highly recommended

I love the retro vibe of this hotel. It’s family run and they were so nice and accommodating when we had to shorten our stay at the last minute to avoid the train strikes. Location is great and less than 5 minutes from one of the public beaches.

Budget stay, budget service but clean room.

Breakfast was OK, the room was clean and pleasant with a small bathroom but it had some quirks which were not explained at the beginning of the stay like- the air conditioning will only come on if windows are closed. The fan turns itself off sometimes and so do the lights.

The young man at reception was rude, arrogant and incorrect after check in but did not apologise despite his colleague taking him to task. For the rest of my stay he avoided me which was uncomfortable and only grudgingly responded to my one and only request of him. They could do with a change of staff but I think he's family.

Nice centrally located hotel in Monterosso close to everything

The staff was very personable and made you feel very welcome. They have a very nice breakfast room with all types of coffee pastry, meats cereal and fruit put out every morning. The hotel is in a very nice area walking distance to anything in Monterosso. There are many dining options and the beach is the main attraction which is a very short walk.

The A/C although working in the room was hard to get to the optimal desired temp otherwise the room was adequate for our needs.

Friendly and clean hotel with an air of the 1980’s.

Clean rooms. Nice staff in reception, bar and cleaning. Good location near the beach. Quiet area, nice garden. Smooth check in and check out.

Not so varied breakfast. Bathroom and furniture is very much 80’ies. The blankets from 70’ies or 80’ies would be good to change to something fresher like light duvets. The cage for the canary birds need to be cleaned more often to be a positive experience for the guests.

Convenient, clean, nice buffet breakfast.

It’s a 5-7 minutes walk from the train station, 2 minutes walk from the beach. The restaurant’s and gelatarias are also nearby. The hotel and room was clean. They had a buffet breakfast which we had not experienced in Italy.

The did not respond to my message on booking.com for months.

Breakfast was wonderful, with variety of breads, pastries, cheeses, salmon, etc.. I appreciated very much that the pot of coffee at my table was replaced promptly, upon request. Lovely gentleman who checked me in, is an asset to your establishment.

I killed a couple of large sized mosquitoes while in my bed and both were oozing with my blood. It was pretty obvious and I even made sure that housekeeping saw it. The stained sheets were not changed/replaced.

Great base location for a Cinque Terre visit.

Location of the hotel is great, very close to the railway station. A few restaurants nearby also. They have private parking which is rather rare and very convenient in Cinque Terre. Very kind staff.

Perfect hotel for a great stay in Cinque Terre

The room was comfortable and clean with partial sea views.Housekeeping was excellent. The front desk staff were very helpful and excellent people. The hotel is centrally located close to restaurants , bars and beaches.

Breakfast is quite basic and the same items were on the menu for all the three days we stayed at the hotel. Wifi reception was very poor in the rooms.

The hotel was convenient, safe and clean. The staff was very nice. I did feel like I walked into a bit of a time warp, but honestly everything was fine, and I would stay there again!

the room was a bit small, but it served our purpose just fine. We were not big fans of the breakfast, but I am sort of a snob.
