I really enjoyed my stay in Bologna!

The owner, Umberto was friendly and very welcoming. He took time to describe and point out the city's attractions and also recommended a lovely restaurant for dinner.

Being a visitor, I was not sure of the area. There was a lot of work going on in the streets around so a lot of barriers however I imagine this will be short-term.

Comfortable stay in Bologna

Umberto was great with suggestions surrounding Bologna. Very welcoming. Room was spacious, quiet, clean and centrally located.

Lovely stay spoiled slightly by minor but avoidable irritations.

Clean, convenient, comfortable, and ideal for a short city break. Very quiet and safe location, with good restaurant options nearby; station, and historic centre all within short walking distance. WhatsApp messages from Uberto prior to arrival were very helpful, reassuring, and much appreciated. Facilitating our relatively late check-in time was a big plus. Breakfast was good, with orange juice from fresh oranges a nice touch (but see below).

The ‘Additional charges MAY apply’ seen when booking (my emphasis) is unfortunate, they DO apply (local tourist tax) and amounted to €46.40 for two people for four nights which was asked for on the penultimate morning; an unpleasant extra when I - probably mistakenly - thought it was ‘taxes and charges included’. I really do not understand why this compulsory charge is hidden. Arriving late and having to leave at 5:00am, the taxi situation was a worry for us; it was the only thing I asked of Uberto, but there seemed to be many difficulties which in spite of offers to help, we had to organise ourselves. I must mention one small but unpleasant issue; arriving at 8.30 for breakfast, the lady began making the orange juice, a few minutes later a group of four arrived who were almost immediately served with glasses of the juice whilst we had to wait for another batch to be squeezed; this felt uncomfortably discourteous. I know everyone had iPhones nowadays, but some paper city maps would have been useful.

The bathroom was small, lighting could be better and shower head was not easy to handle.

Great stay overall.

Nice little hotel, very well located to explore Bologna. Very welcoming host.

Everything was fine but 2 little improvements could be made: 1. The blankets weren't covered in bedsheets. They seemed clean, but if they are not washed after every use... 2. Maybe some greens, olives, tomatoes for the breakfast. Or at least some mustard.. There was nothing of the sort.

Perfect stay in Bologna city center!

Uberto is a very friendly and warm host that introduces you to all Bologna's beauty immediately as you walk in. His co-workers are also very friendly and kind people, always ready to help out. We loved the location of the B&B! Right in the middle of the city center but no heavy traffic or noise in the street itself. Many nice bars around and only 10 minute walk to Piazza Maggiore. Breakfast is very lovely, small but more than enough choice! Window in bathroom is a big plus :)

Room was very clean and everything is present, but maybe somewhat used. A refresher might be a good idea.

The location was great for walking to historic sights!

Uberto was so helpful as well as the rest of the staff. They helped us with Restaurant recs, taxi calls and luggage up the large staircase.

Excellent base to explore Bologna!

The location is very good... close enough to the centre... and everything is in walking distance! Uberto helped us very kindly with a map, so we would find the nice places in the city. The rooms are clean and comfortable, though the bed was a bit hard for our taste. Nonetheless, we hd an excellent time in Bologna!

We really enjoyed our stay and warmly recommend Muà to others. We will certainly stay there again.

The communication before we arrived was timely and clear. The accommodation is well located and we felt comfortable and very secure. We enjoyed the breakfasts. Time was spent advising us on local restaurants and visits to cultural sites. Uberto is a wonderful host and we really appreciated the time he gave to us. We are both trying to learn Italian and Uberto helped us and allowed us to practise our flawed Italian! We loved that.

Very convenient, quiet boutique hotel.

The owner and staff were absolutely lovely, and extraordinarily helpful. The bed was huge and comfy, temperature control in the room was easy to sort and there were extra blankets if needed. The fridge/kettle/safe were very useful, and there was plenty of storage. We opted for breakfast which was simple but good quality, esp the freshly squeezed orange juice. It's in a great position less than 10 min walk into the heart of the old town, and 20 mins to the train station, with bars and restaurants very close by. Ps. The owner was amazing at sorting us a taxi back to the airport but don't assume one will be available as there appears to be a shortage of drivers.

Nothing!! Altho i will comment that the shower cubicle is quite small if you are a 6ft3 tank like my husband, and there are only a couple of plug sockets.

Uberto the Owner was very patient and plasent , explain everything need to know and more. Nice and quality breakfast. The room was like new in very good condition everything in place, very clean. Location was perfect , 10 -15 min to any location in historical place and near San Francisco church, 1 - 2 minutes to to all bars nightlife , we like it a lot 😀. Quit place on side alley. Very Friday people zone.

Location was great! Close to many amazing restaurants and night life. Walkable to train but a little longer (15-20minutes). Host was very friendly, knowledgeable, and personable.

The pillows were flat and hard. Bedding wasn’t overly comfortable.

Mua is an excellent choice of accommodation for Bologna.

Conveniently located about 10 mins walk from main areas of town. Umberto was very friendly and helpful and always available should you need him. The rooms were cleaned and restocked daily to a very good standard. Ideal place for a city break in Bologna as we wanted to be able to eat out, but saw the breakfast that was optional and it looked excellent and extensive. Very happy to recommend Mua.

The location is excellent. You can leave your baggage in the hotel after check out. The host is super nice and helpful. The taxi from the airport costs about 20 Euro if you take the one in front of the airport. Don't use Uber, it is expensive.

A nice place for staying in Bologna

Uberto is a fantastic host! We agreed the time of arrival with him and he waited for us as agreed. Uberto described us the whole touristic places around as we went here to spend only 2 nights to know a bit the city before the further trip to Florence. His advices were perfect from touristic and gastronomic perspective. The hotel is nice, small and cosy. We were happy for the quality and cleanliness of the room. Tea and coffee were available for us. Location of the hotel is good as well, only 7-10 minutes on walk from the city hall. It was a possibility for leaving luggage in the hotel for the late departure, wich was a very nice gesture too. Thank you a lot for a such warm welcoming in Bologna!
