Like staying in someone’s home, great experience!

The fact that you stay in a home stay is awesome in a great spacious and clean apartment, the rooms are huge, the bed very comfortable and Mario was so lovely! It was the best choice in Bologna and there are so many shops and a big supermarket right by the building.

A disappointment.

Location was walkable. Shops and smaller cafes, restaurants in the area.

Room 6 is a room with a locking pocket door. Not with a regular room door. Room is shown, but not the door set-up is not shown in pictures. Uncomfortable stay with the cold, austere appearance of the room and location in apartment. Pocket doors virtually open into the lobby with close proximity to front entry. It is the furthest room from the 2 bathrooms. My disppointment was immediate: however host had nothing other to offer. He kindly offered to refund, and I was free to find another room, but directly off long flight would not work for me. I made reservations well in advance and arrived timely. There was nothing offered in the way of a coffee or tea station; there was a single small bottle of water in the room. The bed was literally 4 inches off floor and the uncomfortable mattress was literally 4 inches in height. A high price for a single room for nite in Bologna.

Good stay in the center of Bologna, with a spacious, cool, and clean room

The room was spacious and tastefully decorated. We had plenty of space and could air the room out in the evening if the day had been hot. The airconditioning worked well when it got too dark to open the windows. The bathrooms were clean and great to use; really, don’t be scared to see they are shared - if your fellow guests are respectful, there’s nothing to worry about. The host was welcoming and helpful.

The bed could have been more comfortable. The mattress on our bed was old and on the thin side; fine for a few days, but for more, a better mattress would be nice. What would perhaps help in assuring a bit more calm in the bathrooms, could be a sign on the outside that indicates the bathroom is occupied. Finally, it would be helpful to know upfront that we could only pay the final tourist tax by creditcard or in cash - we were not accustomed to that and caught by surprise! But these were minor points: the room was good value for money!

Location is perfect, in the centre and close to the station. The place is beautiful, room was clean, toilets and showers were nice and clean. Also, the host was friendly and helpful.

4 day solo stay

Probably the best and most clean bathrooms that I've seen in a BnB-style accomodation (i.e. shared bathrooms). Hot water, clean, privacy, and spacious. Great location that is easy to find from the station and only a few minutes from the centre. Very good restaurants, cafes, and bars close by, as well as groceries and general shops. Very quiet building. Seemed to be one of the cheaper options in Bologna available at very short notice!

Room had a slider-style door separating it from the main hallway. Seemed to be the only room that did, but there you go. City tax is kind of a pain, felt like we had to discuss it repeatedly in advance of leaving - appreciate that it's probably not doable to pay up front though. Not expensive just one more thing to think about.

Overnight in Bologna

Mario is absolutely lovely, super communicative & very friendly. My room was very comfortable & directly across from the bathroom so I wasn't at all bothered by the shared bathroom situation. The location is absolutely unbeatable, a short walk from the station and cl9se to absolutely everything

Home in Central Bologna

Mario was a very nice host. He contacted to make sure I arrived with no issue and he's easily contacted anytime I needed help. The apartment was very comfortable. It feels like home.

There should be a larger sign out front. It took me a while to find it because the entrance looked just like any other apartment door.

The room is big with a good bed and cleaned. The bathroom was well maintained. The host was nice and the checkin was easy. The wifi is great for work related activities (>100mbps).

Breakfast is not included even if the description says it is. I recomend to eliminate that. I was surprised to find out that access to a fridge was not provided (the wine mini fridge in the room couldn't go lower than 17 degrees C). I would recomend a mini fridge in each room, or just a normal fridge in the hallway if the kitchen is not accessible.

Fine for a very short trip but wouldn’t spend a lot of time there.

Great location, spacious room, clean facilities, friendly staff. Loads of spaces to put clothes and stuff (two bedside tables, a desk, chair, table and wardrobe). Mini fridge in the room with a bottle opener is a nice touch. Spare pillows in the wardrobe were also really useful.

My room was right opposite the bathrooms, I was woken up early each morning and late in the night by people slamming doors and also having loud conversations right outside my room. One of the lights in the room didn’t work, bed was big but very uncomfortable, I could feel the slats through the mattress (if you can call it that, it was more like a topper). There was always someone in the bathrooms so sharing wasn’t easy. The room rate included breakfast but this was not offered or spoken about at all so I feel like I overpaid for what I got. The whole stay was fine but average and I wouldn’t stay there again.

I've been staying in Bologna for few days and I need to admit thay Bologna Center Town was a great choice. Being close to all main tourist attractions and to the main station, it was really very convenient. The owner was also very friendly and eager to help.
