Location from the port.
Limited tea/coffee making facilities - no milk.

Great hotel in a great location for the ferry. We did an overnight stay with our three small dogs. We had a lovely dog friendly room, staff were excellent considering it was very quiet as mid January. Ate in the restaurant where food was absolutely spot on as was the service. Private car park is excellent also.
Couldn’t get the WiFi to work at all. We left early morning and there was no sensor light outside so moving cases and dogs down the outside stairs was a little tricky. Nothing else, highly recommended.

Location, quality furnishings and rooms helpful staff
External lighting is unsafe! There is no external lighting around the staircases early morning . Steps cannot be seen!

The reception allowed us to check in early as we had travelled all night, I booked a massage for my wife and we had a wonderful dinner later that evening.

The staff was very welcoming. Room was quiet.
1/ finding the location.
2/ finding the first bedroom I had been given unmade. The staff sorted me a better one immediately and were very apologetic.

Clean, functional room and bathroom. Exceptional meal in the restaurant and an excellent breakfast. Staff were very friendly. On site parking very convenient.
All fine and as expected.

The room was exceptionally good with large comfortable beds and pillows , nice bathroom. Great meal in the restaurant (but we departed early for the ferry so left before breakfast).
Nothing to complain about.

Good staff who helped with an internet problem. Comfortable and clean rooms.
The fact anyone could see into my shower room - get a blind.
7.0 / 10.0
Easy check in with English speaking receptionists, room was easy to find and comfortable. Very close to ferry terminal which made catching the morning early ferry a straightforward experience
Shower leaked all over the floor, no obvious place to drop keys off early in the morning which wasted time on check out. I left it in the restaurant wondering if Id be charged an additional fee (no charge was made)

A great location for visiting Pegasus Bridge on foot and Ouistreham for a day at the beach and catching the ferry to Portsmouth. The dinner was lovely, and so convenient to eat in the same hotel as you stay. Off road parking was really appreciated.
Instantly regretted not bringing a smaller suitcase, as the room was accessed via an exterior staircase. Totally my fault, but something to bear in mind when booking, to request ground floor rooms if you have mobility issues.

Location is perfect for the ferry port at Ouistreham. Our room was exceptionally clean and comfortable and the hotel were able to check us in after arriving on a late ferry. We didn't stay for breakfast because there is a bakery right next door and ideal for then continuing our onward journey. Off street parking next to the room was also great!
Everything was great for us

The rooms we had were very clean and quiet. Location was practical for access to ferry terminal.
Coffee machine was appreciated.
Not very comfortable pillons or beds. The rooms were very hot and the fridges didn’t work. Very basic rooms felt a bit overpriced, more motel style than spa hotel.

A nice hotel to stay and very handy for the ferry port. The room was clean and comfy and there was ample parking. No lounge or bar area to sit but there is some outdoor seating for sunny afternoons. Evening meal was very nice and the staff very attentive. Didn't have breakfast as early morning ferry. There is a boulangerre next door for an early morning croissant,
No others bars or restuarants in the immediate vicinity.

Clean, comfortable, great spacious rooms for a great price and for all the family
No lights around at night time so when arriving late after reception shut, very difficult to see and lots of steps everywhere

Very convenient for the ferry terminal. Clean. Parking.Room nicely decorated.
No WiFi in the room at all.
Fridge not working. Told it was drinks cabinet not a fridge… so why was it plugged it but not working?
No coffee or milk but a coffee machine!
Very tepid shower which, if you were not really careful, changed to the alternative shower head as you turn it off and was freezing cold! Not a pleasant experience.
Finally we were very disappointed with the restaurant. Unfortunately we stayed on a Monday evening & it was the only place open within walking distance, otherwise we would have heeded previous reviews and gone elsewhere. Service was very slow. The food was expensive given it was nothing special (my fish was dry and over cooked and the portions were small). We ordered from the set menu €27, but were charged a la carte because apparently the option my partner were given was not the one he asked for. Thus the bill was €20 more than anticipated. Just beware!

Location, staff seemed good, looks like it could be a lovely place but our room wasn’t
Cobwebs, smelly room, absolutely stank of mould/cat pee, shutters on Window locked shut, so hot in the room and not able to open window as shutter! So not much sleep, reception shut as we left early so could not complain

Unable to get wifi. Shower room decor tired - no shower head fixing. No one had checked the coffee/tea machine - used sugar wrappers and only tea available.

We have stayed there before and the location is great
Upon our arrival we were early and I asked in my poor french if the room was available,The receptionist was obviously busy and I was curtly told check in was 1530, I asked if i could leave my motorbike in the car park while we waited and was told we could. So we went and grabbed some food and returned about an hour later to wait in reception. Time passed and we were completely ignored not even asked if we would like to get a drink from the bar etc. Which I asked for as it was a very hot day.The only person that spoke was a passing chef. At 1510hrs I asked if the room was ready yet ,this time a different receptionist who spoke good english said the room was still being cleaned and would be ready at 1530. I was surprised at this as two or three french couples had arrived and checked in just after 1500hrs, it seemed as if they were rigid with timing.
Anyhow 1530 arrived and i asked if we could check in and was told yes .great ! So I asked what info they needed etc and the reply was money , they needed money , when i pointed out i had already paid the receptionist checked and finally said oh yes you have ,ok we need city tax , so I willingly paid that and the cost of the two drinks .
Last time we stayed, the hotel had not been refurbished and it looked quite smart with its new decor, but when given the room key we went to the room and it smelt of dirty mop water , the floor was still wet in the bathroom and the room was very shabby. So much so that i took photos of its condition so i could not be accused of any damage. There were black scuffs on the walls ,a smashed thermostat had not been removed after its replacement had been fitted, and paint had been poorly applied over previous damage.
The property is rated two star but i do not consider it is even worth that !
In the bathroom the dirt and limescale build up around the shower cubicle was disgusting.

Pretty to look at, pleasant enough inside if a bit muddled and parts separate from the main building poorly signposted. Attractive and comfortable dining area. Good selection of food in evening - delicious!
Well placed stopover for early ferry in the morning with easy access to port, 5 mins by car.
Dining room, though advertised as having air-con it ‘wasn’t working’ when asked. Non existent bar (again advertised)with drinks served in reception area. Some staff seemed to be left alone at busy periods - check-in for eg, room not ready on arrival at 4pm approx.

The parking was okay but not totally secure. The surroundings were pleasant. The exterior of the hotel was inviting.
We booked this hotel because it has a good restaurant and bar. Important for a last night in France. Many of the photos on their site are of the food in the restaurant. On booking in we were told the restaurant was closed and the bar too. We were pointed to other restaurants in the area but none were open. Our room was not good either. The coffee machine had just one coffee pod. In the shower there was just one very low quality towel. There was no bedside cabinet on one side of the bed. There was no other staff in the hotel apart from the girl in reception. The breakfast was not the best either. The hotel was such a disappointment we wanted to book another. But we couldn't get a refund.

The location of the hotel was excellent for ease of access to port of Ousterheim for early morning ferry. The room in the hotel looked newly renovated and was very clean. The receptionist was very accommodating and pleasant. Parking all around the hotel was very good, and the hotel had a good private car park. Did not eat breakfast in the hotel due to early crossing. Great too to be able to walk to Pegasus bridge. Would use again if we needed to get an early boat.

We had to change our Ferry crossing and didn’t arrive till late. The young lady very kindly put a plan in place so we could get into our room. The staff are very kind and attentive and we had a very nice room. We will definitely stay again, thank you

The restaurant is really excellent. Fairly expensive but excellent.
The room is decorated with classic English 1980s council house smallest bedroom style.
Freely arranged unironed sheets compliment the other primark items furniture. That all said Booking got a cheap deal for me travelling alone so what else could one expect.

it’s a lovely old looking place , the rooms are modern and well equipped. they very kindly upgraded us to a superior room which was beautiful.
sadly the only thing I’m not keen on is that some rooms are away from main building BUT in a way it’s kind of good because there is no noise whatsoever.

Location …. Pegasus bridge.
I found the staff distant, and if I am honest, a little distrusting. Continually wanted payment up front rather than putting items onto the room :-/. This is not how it is done !!!
