The location was excellent. The breakfast was plentiful and suprisingly good.

The person on the reception desk the evening we arrived was unhelpful, possibly lacking competent English. He could not help us with a map, although there were plenty of broshures available on a stand, nor an umbrella. Staff on the next day were more friendly and helpful.

Asked for additional two pillows at reception and they could not provide us with these. bed was extremly uncomfortable, no air conditioning in room , room was unbearably hot , therefore could not rest,sleep

The decor in receception, dining room even outsite, bright and clean. Once headed to the room, all change.

poor lighting in room, only lamps at bed and mirror, no ceiling light. not bright enough for makeup. poor hallway light. hallway carpets dirty. Room colour bland. Lift broken, but no one to assist with luggage up the stairs. I was on the 2nd floor.

We were able to explore Caen’s historic attractions easily from the hotel and also found good restaurants nearby.

Stayed here a few times. Always a pleasure. The gentleman on the desk wasn’t as happy as the other staff we usually encounter but it was no issue. We did however get talking to a gentleman in the town who knew me by name. Turns out he was the usual receptionist. We hadn’t been at this hotel for almost a year prior to the stay and he recognised us. Was very impressed. Lovely staff there. Parking outside and a car park two minutes walk away. Right in the town. Would recommend

Great value hotel in the center of Caen

Room was super comfortable with a balcony, a TV with a wide selection of channels and a super modern, spacious and clean bathroom. Teas and coffees supplied in the room with a reasonably sized desk.

Breakfast option was a little limited for a vegan, for the price.

A very comfortable hotel for the price. The staff were extremely helpful (printing a conference paper for me) and very friendly. It's perfectly located for exploring both sides of the old town and near a tram stop,

Conveniently located small hotel

Centrally located, it's a small hotel good for a couple of nights stay. You can see the hotel is very well mantained. Bed was good, as pillows, as shower. Enough for a weekend stay. Tranway stop is nearby and very easy to get to from the Train Central Station> Plenty of shops and restaurants around. Museum of Beaux-Arts just a few minutes away by foot.

Bathorom was extremely small. I don't really understand how this sized toilets are legal in France. My knees touched the front wall when sitting in the WC and I am not super tall, I'm only 1.74m. Breakfast at 13 euros is expensive for what there is to get.

Good location, fine breakfast, clean and unusually spacious shower!

My friend fell down on the floor when going miscalculating the last step. To our surprise the woman behind the desk that watched the accident didn't lift a finger or acknowledge us. The floor was hard and my friend got badly bruised but fortunately broke no bones.

Location was central and balcony was a welcomed surprise.

The lack of parking and expensive breakfast option weren't ideal. The room was extremely dim lit and there were scarce outlets near the TV. Would have liked to hook in a firestick or laptop since all channels were French. Overall, good stay and value for the price.

Location for shops, restaurants, bars and site seeing and only 20 mins from the ferry port for the early morning ferry home

Rooms are warm and stuffy so needed to keep window open but then you have people shouting and making noise at 2am ish outside walking by the hotel
