Dreadful experience!

Its location was the only thing going for it.

Where to start! We had a requested an accessible room and had been given a room with a shower over a bath. My hubby cannot get into a bath. I asked to move and we were moved to a room which was not much bigger than a cupboard although it did have a shower. It was advertised with evening meals being available and these were pre-made slop in a kilner jar. We did not partake. The housekeeping was sparse although they did provide fresh towels on a daily basis but during our 7 night stay they never cleaned the bathroom or room once. The breakfast left a lot to be desired; I appreciate there was no real kitchen facilities in the hotel but mini croissants, cheese and rubbery scrambled egg and fatty chopped bacon was not particularly appetising. We had such a poor experience and with my hubby being unwell, we decided to leave early from our 10 night stay. We were not offered a refund and were still expected to pay for the breakfasts. No concession at all was given. This hotel was not as advertised and would only suit business people staying for one night.

Lovely place

Comfortable bed, large room, quiet yet central location, wifi, very friendly and helpful staff, was able to store my bike in the laundry room.

While the breakfast selection was alright, I found the price to be too high.

Hotel with nice atmosphere, like home

Nice little hotel with very friendly staff. Sound-proof windows (fri/sat evening some noise on the street), also with the system (metallic) blocking light. Location close to river and some cafes, restaurants.

The other room had some trouble with the sound isolation of the street noise

Great place for a city break or to stop over en-route.

The location was excellent, we could walk into the town and to a good choice of restaurants. We could leave our car in the locked carpark so we didn't have to worry about it. Breakfast was very tasty and the staff were very helpful.

For seeing a bit of Caen with an early morning cross-channel ferry to catch Le Bristol is a good choice of city centre h

We liked its location and proximity to the City’s main sites of interest and eateries. We also liked the Hotel’s secure car parking facility to the rear of the hotel.

The sound insulation was not great, so if you leave the bathroom’s sliding door open by accident, you hear every flush of the loo from the neighbours. You also can hear other people’s bedtime entertainment, which disturbs your own or your desire for sleep in their comfy beds.

Great hotel for a short city stay

Location was good, just a short walk from the river and many bars, shops and restaurants. Rooms were quite small, but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good, lots of variety. Plenty of secure parking. Staff friendly and helpful.

Drinks were for sale and limited seating, but not really a bar. Quite noisy from bar and club opposite hotel.

Clean rooms but not great customer service

The room was clean and had tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was a good continental breakfast.

The wifi didn't work and when I told reception I got a shrug and told that it should. That was it, no offer of help and no follow up later to see if I had managed to get in working. Which I hadn't! I was away on business and the lack of wifi was not helpful, Additionally, I arrived and 14.30 and was told I couldn't check in until 15.00 which is fair enough but I was also told I couldn't put my car in the car park until 15.00!
