Great Location and Kind Host, But Needs Maintenance

The owner was genuinely warm and welcoming and the staff was very attentive, which made a difference in our experience. They provided a decent homemade breakfast—nothing fancy, but thoughtful and reasonably filling. The location was excellent, just a 15-minute walk to the Falls, which made it easy to explore the area

Unfortunately, the room showed signs of neglect that affected our comfort. Our bedding was uncomfortable, and my pillow was oddly constructed from two thin pillows with foam pieces stuffed between them. The bathroom had a rusty shower and a moldy shower mat, which was concerning. One floor lamp had missing shades and only 2 bulbs out of 3 (and they both were different), and one of the two chairs in our room was unusable because it was being used to hold TV cables and a router. The table (a refurbished sewing machine) had dust accumulated in its legs, indicating a lack of thorough cleaning. There was a large jacuzzi in the bedroom that we didn't use, but the overall feeling was that the space had crossed the line from charming and antique to simply worn and poorly maintained. We got the sense that the owner may be working on improving the property, and his hospitality shows he cares. With proper investment in maintenance, updated bedding, and attention to cleanliness details, this could be a wonderful spot. For now, the price point doesn't quite match the condition of the accommodations.

Location was great.

-Breakfast was the highlight of our time at this B&B. I found the quality of breakfast items to be very good. Mila was skilled at serving several people at the same time, and sharing breakfast with other guests was delightful. -The bed was comfortable. The pillows? I'll address that below....

- The pillows. What can I say? How many nights of someone (multiple someones) sleeping on a pillow does it take for that pillow to be mashed flat? I did my best to not think about that. -The ceiling fan....we are accustomed to sleeping with a ceiling fan running, so I turned the fan on - and then the dust began to float down like snow. -The toilet paper. Here again, what can I say? Why do you (owner) provide the very cheapest of cheap toilet paper to your guests? We actually bought a 6-pack of Charmin and left the remaining rolls on the upstairs desk for other guests. -Overall it felt a bit like "lipstick on a pig" - some areas were nice (shared spaces), other areas (Victorian room bathroom) seem to have been furnished by Ikea. -Last - please add functional shades to your windows - especially the one directly behind the toilet.

Lovely stay at Niagara Falls!

I loved the B&B decoration, the rooms! They left a welcome letter on the door explaining everything I need to know about my stay (very organised!). Breakfast was delicious and served in a quaint dining room ✨. Wi-Fi worked well throughout the property. The bedroom was clean (+1 for the bathroom's cleanliness!). The property is well-located, but please note that if you don't have a car and you want to go a bit out of the busy area, you'll depend on public transport (a bus stop is nearby), walking, or a taxi service. I opted to walk, and it was ok for me, since I stayed at Niagara to see the main tourist points.

Fantastic stay and would love to go back!

Fantastic place to stay with a great host. Loved the bed which was huge & so comfortable after a busy day at the falls. Loved the fact that everyone sat together at breakfast it was so nice chatting to everyone and finding out all their travel stories. The food was delicious too.

Just what we needed!

The breakfast was delightful and my request for whole oats rather than an "instant" oatmeal packet that was flavoured which was available on the breakfast bar, was accommodated. The staff member serving the meal was polite and friendly.

The dusting of ornate furnishings and drapes was needed. Nothing a good vacuum attachment couldn't fix!

We should have stayed one more night there (First day: arrival and visiting the falls, second day: Dufferin Island, Floral Clock, Niagara Glen Trail and Whirlpool Trail (combined), third day (unfortunately missed): White water Trail, Niagara on the Lake, Power Station, ...) We really would have liked to enjoy the amenities of this house one night longer.

Gem in Niagara

We loved the overall style of the room, the furniture and furnishings. The location was ideal for us as we wanted somewhere just a little away from the busy tourist area. Breakfast was amazing and so tasty. The staff went out of their way to address our needs: on the morning the pancakes were served, the staff very kindly cooked my husband a fried egg instead as my husband unfortunately doesn't have a sweet tooth. I, however, absolutely loved the breakfast 🥞
