Don't get your hopes up. This place would be wonderful if it was cleaned from top to bottom.

Century home with tons of antiques.

Poor house keeping. Dirty and dusty everywhere and on everything, under the bed, on all the ledges, on all the knick knacks and pictures. Kitchen was dirty with scraps and garbage everywhere. Sink was dirty. Don't know how it passed a health inspection. Bathroom was tiny and across the hall and unheated

A lovely stay in a Victorian period home with welcoming hosts and lovely gardens.

The room was very clean and decorated in Victorian style that was very pleasing. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom roomy. Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. The hosts are very welcoming and personable. We really enjoyed our stay.

A minor thing, not many channels available on tv. Not a problem though, as it gave us the opportunity to chat which was nice. Can’t think of anything else.

The owners and staff were all very welcoming and helpful. Breakfasts were delicious, plentiful and all home cooked/prepared. What an amazing collection of collections fill this place. A Moment in Time for sure. Bravo.

A comfortable , well located period home ousing with character and charm

If you want to stay in a comfortable period home then this is the place for you. David and Doddy were fine hosts, who prepared a delicious home cooked breakfast each morning. The location was ideal with a 20 minute walk to the Skylon tower. Situated in a residential area, with free off road parking and close to local bars, restaurants and shops. The gardens were a delight to walk around very colourful and quirky..

This Victorian home was a beautiful. Exactly as described. The furniture very vintage and beds super comfortable. Our hosts, David and Doddy could not have been more pleasant. Delicious hot breakfast served each morning. Very highly recommend this stay over the usual hotel you might choose.

Wonderful

Very friendly. Although no one was around to greet us when we arrived clear instructions and keys were left for us. They accommodated a change request in the time of our breakfast without fuss. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in away from home

Breakfast was great, well presented and the owners were wonderful, polite, informative and social. The room was large and the bathroom was very spacious. The antique photos and decor were interesting and quite lovely to admire.

There was some noise from the road. The toilet paper in the bathroom should be 2 ply.

Historic and beautiful!

Beautiful Victorian building, we really enjoyed experiencing the history of the area by staying here! The gardens at the property were incredible and a highlight of our stay! Lovely breakfast in a delightful sunroom and very welcoming hosts.

I wouldn't change a thing. We knew ahead of time our bedroom had a bathroom that was not inside the room (just a step across the hallway) but for the price I cannot complain. They do have in suite bathrooms available for a slightly higher price. Would have be nice to have a robe--maybe there was one but I didn't see it.

Very uncomfortable & stressful.

The location met our needs & there was a parking space.

Overwhelming perfume smell (like Febreez) that irritated our throats & made us feel ill. Tried to air the room out but windows opened only a few inches with wood props & air conditioner barely worked. The pillows reeked of this chemical perfume so much we had to try sleeping without any. The bed was lumpy & uncomfortable so we barely slept at all. There was only 1 hanger & a few hooks for clothes. Breakfast was awful 2 pieces of dry toast with 2 overcooked eggs & 2 tiny sausages, a mixed fruit cup I could not eat because of allergies & 1 small bitter cup of coffee.

Great stay

Loved the house itself. It's like it's own little fairy tale. The instructions were clear. Doddy was super friendly and his breakfasts tasted amazing. The bed was comfortable and the tub, clean properly warm and very enjoyable. The location was nice and quiet (which we prefer) and they have on site parking if you get there by car. We would definitely come back here for another stay.

The location was good. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good.

Our room was very small and did not have a dresser or place to put our clothing. We were provided with three hangers. The towels were very worn, caulking around tub was sloppily installed. We actually didn’t even realize the room had a TV until later that evening because it sat in a corner and it was approximately 15”. It was definitely no frills, including a bottle of 2 in 1 shampoo. We were there for 5 nights and the breakfast, although good, was repeated. No choices except yea or coffee in very small tea cups. Our host was nice, but we only saw him in the am on a couple of days and then he went out of state for some other business. He left someone to make breakfast and while she did a good job, the entire feel of the place was not what we were accustomed to when we stay at a B & B, which is where we normally stay when we travel.

location was good … close to the Napoli Italian restaurant, and not far from the falls.

The photos were deceptive. They must have been taken long ago. This place was old, which is often attractive, but it has been terribly maintained, which is not. The pergola leading to the front door was leaning on an angle. The breakfasts were not appetizing. The same muffins were served each morning. They were extremely dry. No options for breakfast. The first morning we were served french toast covered in whipped cream and cinnamon with table syrup in packages. It both looked and tasted unappetizing. The second morning, two slices of dry toast with egg baked into a cut out section of the toast. Our host left half way through breakfast because she had to go to another house. The corner beside our table was piled with an old air conditioner etc. There were no other guests while we were there. The bedrooms appear attractive on first glance, but the bedding was not what I expect from a bed & breakfast. The bed was very soft. I found a couple of old blankets in the cupboard that I folded and put under the sheets so that I wouldn't roll into the middle. It was nice to be able to open the windows for fresh air, but one of the windows was cracked and the inside of the window sills looked like they had never been cleaned - dirt and debris, chipped paint. No pride in ownership was displayed. The host, who I must say looked slovenly at best, chose to tell us how he avoided inspections on renos that he was doing on a different house. In hindsight, I wish I had taken more photos, but have rarely felt compelled to write such a review. We like staying at B&Bs and have stayed at many all over the world. This was the worst.
