Ambleside House

Perfect location. Secure entrance /lobby area. The room was very clean with tea/coffee facilities.

It is wonderfully central for everything in the town, it was wonderfully cool during the brutal heatwave, the staff are very helpful and kind. It was also lovely to have my own separate space and to be able to come and go as I pleased. Having my own little lounge was also handy.

I think the mattress on the bed could do with replacing as it is a little disconcertingly soft.

Light, airy and well located.

The only thing that disappointed us a little is it advertised tea, coffee and cereal but there was only enough for one morning when we booked two days. Not major but it would have been nice to of had enough for both.

Location very good. Spacious apartment with separate bedroom, large dining-lounge area , bathroom and narrow kitchen. Large collection of oddly assorted kitchen ware and utensils. Some staples like milk, bread and eggs were provided on arrival.

Didn't mention in description it was a basement flat with 2 windows overlooking a wall below pavement level. (But in UK heatwave it was quite cool.) Kitchen missing a few staples such as a frypan and tongs. Small fridge with little usable door space, Coffee machine provided but no pods. NO dishwasher although advertised as having one. Parking space was mentioned as available but was only one space and was occupied for most of our stay. Bed was totally dead. Sitting on side meant bottom and top were compressed together. Not sure what was deluxe as advertised.
