The hospitality here was genuinely outstanding. What stood out most was the flexibility. Steve went out of his way to make sure everything suited me and that I was comfortable throughout my stay. The room was spotless and incredibly cosy - it felt like a place you could properly relax in. Breakfast was excellent and tailored exactly how I liked it, which I really appreciated. He also offered thoughtful recommendations for restaurants and walks, which was especially helpful as it was my first time visiting the Lakes. The level of care made a real difference to my experience, and I would happily stay here again.

Steve and Caz were very friendly and helpful, the room was lovely even decorated with a lovely christmas tree. The breakfast was great, lots of choice and set us up for a day of walking.

Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and I would happily stay here again.

I had a lovely stay at this cozy B&B lodge in Ambleside. The location was great — right along the streets of town and within easy walking distance to nearby restaurants, which made exploring and dining very convenient. The lodge itself had a warm, homely feel, and the room was comfortable throughout my stay. Breakfast was served in a generous portion and tasted great, so I left morning feeling satisfied.

The only minor downside was the limited flexibility in breakfast service timing, though I understand this is common for a family-run lodge.

Great location, lovely B&B spotless and comfortable. Host's Steve & Caz very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is the best we have had in Ambleside. Private parking is a bonus, would highly recommend this B&B.

A greats night’s sleep, location and hosts. Average breakfast and awkward parking.

The furnishings and decor were excellent and the whole property was very clean. The interior design was impressive. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom facilities were great. The hosts were pleasant and welcoming and the location provides easy access to Ambleside.

The parking situation was a little awkward. You have to park outside for a maximum of 1 hour and bring luggage in, obtain key for private parking a 5 minute walk away and then drive to this. The breakfast wasn’t of the same quality to what we’ve come to expect from a Cumbrian B&B. Better Sausage and the addition of Black Pudding would level it up exponentially.

Great B&B in the heart of Ambleside. Owner was clearly experienced in the hospitality industry and was polite and helpful. The room was very clean and had nice additional touches to cater for every need. Would definitely stay here again when in the area.

The welcome on arrival set the standard for the stay. The facilities are exceptional with everything you would see in a 5 star hotel. The breakfast was excellent. Caz and Steve want to ensure that all their guest’s needs are met - and exceeded.

Ideal location comfortable clean great breakfast

The room was clean and the bed very comfortable and quiet at night. Bathroom clean and nice white thick towels with soap and hand cream shower gel provided. Felt very safe car parking very good well organised. Host was very helpful and breakfast was first class everything you could wish for and served by very pleasant lady that was helping out she was very cheerful .

Great value for money with ALL the benefits

Steve and Caz were welcoming and friendly from the outset. Providing all the necessary details about the B&B for the duration of our stay, as well as the very convenient and secure parking arrangements. They were always available to chat and sort out any questions, The room was just as expected with coffee, tea etc. and biscuits in the room. soft towels and all the toiletries in the ensuite including a motion sensor night light and, a very comfortable bed. The breakfasts covered all bases including juices, cereals, fruit and nuts & yogurt, followed by many variations of freshly cooked breakfasts including my personal favourite, pancakes with all the trimmings. The location is very convenient for all the area has to offer......Nothing was too much trouble. Definitely recommend it.

The breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice and very good service. The hosts were friendly and very helpful. Easy walking distance from shops, restaurants and parking and a real bonus to have free parking. Ambleside is a great base for hill and more gentle walking.

Lovely place , fantastic location

Furnishings and facilities were lovely , location was perfect !

although breakfast was included in the stay . It appeared to be a big issue to understand that I’d like to have my breakfast on the go so requested to take it with me when i had to be away early . One reason was I can’t eat a big breakfast second reason it was already paid for and it was handy to have whilst hiking I was told we are a bed and breakfast and don’t do packed lunch .. meaning I had to miss breakfast on one of the days a simple sandwich would have been sufficient. This left me feeling quite uncomfortable as it’s not hard to understand , I didn’t think I was asking for any special treatment as it has been offered at every other place I have stayed
