Great location with allocated parking. Nice breakfast with lots of choice. Absolutely spotless! Warm, cosy rooms beautifully decorated. Fantastic shower ! Adie & Mandy were lovely, friendly hosts. Fab little place, will definitely return

The small room we stopped in was beautiful with a great view as well but it did get quite hot in the night and the TV struggled occasionally with the reception but these are very minor points because it was a lovely room.

Wonderful place for a short stay in Ambleside and pretty good price for this area as well

Lovely B+B/hotel in Ambleside. Short walk (less than 5 minutes) to all shops, restaurants and pubs in the area. Breakfast was exceptional and the owners could not have been more attentive. Room was very comfortable with a separate seating area which was nice in the evening. Very clean and well equipped.

Ambleside is a busy town with lots of parking issues and a one way system that means if you miss the hotel initially then you have to go round again. Our parking was fine but it can always be an issue in this part of Ambleside.

Fantastic stay in a beautiful guesthouse , run by exceptional friendly hosts .

Breakfast was amazing , absolutely delicious and beautifully presented .The location was perfect right in the heart of Ambleside close to all the amenities . Highly recommend Brantfell House and will be returning soon . Our hosts were exceptionally welcoming and nothing was too much trouble , all in all a perfect stay , thank you .

Fantastic location, brilliant hosts.

The owners were fabulous- we got such a friendly and genuine welcome on arrival from Mandy and the help/information we got prior to arrival was great. The room was beautiful, felt fresh and was super clean with a great view I wish we’d booked for a longer stay. Comfiest bed and quality bedding. Cannot fault a thing about breakfast, quality of food, presentation and the portion sizes were fantastic Adie was a brilliant breakfast host and made us feel more than welcome.

The perfect guest house for a stay in Ambleside.

Great location in the centre of town. Fantastic breakfast, great choice and cooked to perfection. Really friendly owners. The hotel is really clean and in good order. Parking to the rear of the building, so my car felt safe. We will definitely be returning.

Lovely B&B, would definitely stay again

We had a lovely stay. Our room was super - really nicely decorated, comfortable, clean & well equipped. The breakfast was lovely. Mandie & Adie were great hosts. Very friendly & welcoming & gave great advice on places to eat locally & to visit in the area. We would book again.

Brilliant location but just be aware the parking could be just down the road if no spaces available near property. Hosts were great, breakfast was great. Had a lovely stay and would use again as location is great for the pubs, restaurants etc and the bus stop is just around the corner. Would recommend the nearby waterfall walk and a bus trip to Grasmere (amazing gingerbread! 😋) Bar S for tapas and cocktails 👍🏻🙂♥️

Home away from home!

Everything about our stay was perfect! Our room was lovely and had everything we needed for our trip, plus it had a great view of the park and historic church across the street. Our breakfast was delicious and made to order, and Brantfell was ideally located a very short walk from the bus station, shops, hikes, and restaurants. Mandy and Ady accommodated our later check-in and made us feel at home from the minute we walked in. We will absolutely be back!

Wonderful breakfasts and lots of helpful advice about hiking in the area. Bed was super comfortable. Close to bus and very easy to get around the area by bus.

One of the best B&Bs we have stayed in!

There was lots to applaud with this B&B in Ambleside. A spacious room with a huge and comfortable bed. Sparkling clean bathroom. Lovely, friendly owners. Delicious and varied breakfast. And the bonus of an off-road parking space. All fantastic!

The duvet was too hot for a summer's night, but others might be OK with it. Breakfast was great, but there was a longer than expected wait for it to be served.

The owners are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious every morning and offered plenty of variety. The hotel is not located in the main street, making it quiet at night. From the hotel, you can easily walk into a beautiful area (Rothay Park).

Mandy and Adie were brilliant. Really looked after us. I don't think I've stayed somewhere with such attention to detail before. Highlights: - Secure place to park up and leave the car - Excellent breakfast that catered for all dietary requirements - Super comfy bed in a lovely room - Really hot weekend but the room had been kept as cool as possible and a quiet fan was available for the evening Perfect location to the start line for the Lakeland runs.

Perfect stay in Ambleside

The room was perfect for me, very clean, cosy and comfortable. The hosts were really accommodating and helped me with a parking space before Lakeland Trails 100k. Great location for the race and exploring Ambleside. Will definitely return if I want to put myself through 100k again!! Great breakfast too!
