Amazing, friendly guest house in a great location!

Beautiful guest house with wonderful, friendly hosts. The guest house is in a fantastic, walking location of Ambleside. We loved our stay here and will definitely be returning! The breakfasts were amazing, the rooms were super clean, and it felt like being at home! Thank you for making our stay so lovely!

The location was excellent, Louise was an excellent host and looked after us well. The room we had was very big and spacious and we were very happy with our stay. Breakfast was so tasty too and was filling and set us up for the day!

Delightful gem in the heart of Ambleside

Lacet House is a gem in the centre of Ambleside. With private parking, it was easy to find. Both Sean and Louise were amazing hosts and nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean, had lovely facilities including access to Netflix. It was immaculately clean and the breakfast was delicious - I would defiantely recommend this for your stay.

There really wasn’t anything we didn’t like about Lacet House. If I had to pick fault with anything it was that during the first night the temperature dropped and it was a little cold - perhaps some blankets would have been nice but I just put on an extra layer in bed for the second night.

Perfect Stay

We loved everything about this B&B. The rooms were spacious and clean, the breakfast was really nice (my wife especially loved the fresh filter coffee) and the owners Louise and Shaun were so friendly and welcoming.

Lovely B&B, comfy room in a great location

Really comfortable clean room with a large, hot shower. Friendly hosts who were on hand. We stayed room only but the breakfasts looked good and nice dining room. Great location and we were able to park at the rear.

Lacet House was the perfect base for us to explore the Lakes. We can’t wait to go back!

The hosts were so kind and gracious. We felt welcome and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, room was incredibly comfortable, and the location was spectacular.

The only negative was as the house is on the corner near the bus stop, bus traffic was a bit loud.

A wonderful,cosy stay in the perfect Ambleside location.

We loved our stay here. The location is perfect – right in the heart of Ambleside with everything just a short stroll away. Our room was full of character and felt really cosy, with quality fittings throughout and a very comfy bed. The shower was excellent, and we had lovely views over the park. Despite being so central, the room was quiet and peaceful. The hosts were warm and welcoming, and having parking on site was a big bonus. Highly recommend!

Location - near bus interchange, so easy to get everywhere in the Lake District. Amenities were good and breakfast was very good. The hosts were very hospitable.

The only slight negative was the parking, very tight car parking but they actually provide parking and its free, that in Ambleside is hard to come by so who can complain!

First B&B experience but defo not my last!

Two amazing full English breakfast in a row which fueled us for the whole day! The location was great with easy access to everything, we used Ambleside as a base for our walks and only 10 mins walk to the Lake. The bed and duvet was very comfortable, we both managed to get two good nights of sleep and enjoy a relaxed weekend in the Ambleside.

As the accommodation was next to one of the main road, it can be slightly noisy sometimes but once it's past 9pm it was all quiet and was able to get a good night of sleep.

Wonderful stay

Would recommend, I was only there for one night but the owners were beyond friendly and accommodating. Breakfast options were good and it was delicious. Proximity to Ambleside centre and bus stop was very appreciated after a long day hiking.
