Warm welcome, perfect location, and an exceptional stay!
Tracey and Kevin made us feel welcome from the very start. The guest house is perfectly located, and our room was cosy, spotless, and equipped with everything we needed. They provided excellent recommendations for local restaurants, and the breakfast was outstanding – a fantastic selection, including gluten-free options. We would absolutely recommend staying here and will definitely return. Thank you, Damien & Katie.

An ideal location for a weekend break.
The location in Ambleside was good, easy walk to the local shops, restaurants/cafés/bars, nearby bus services, plus a short walk to Windermere ferry services along with nearby complimentary secure parking. The hosts where welcoming, friendly and informative. The breakfasts offered a wide choice, complementary tea/coffee in the rooms which were clean and comfortable. An ideal location for a weekend break.

Just what we wanted.
We really enjoyed our stay at Melrose. It was excellent, just what we wanted. Private parking, lovely and clean throughout and very friendly. We would go back again if we needed accomodation in Ambleside.
