Clean rooms, Parking, Good breakfast, No Curfew

Good cooked breakfast could only be made better by making it a proper full English. Was within easy walking distance of most of Ambleside and the Ferry around Windermere, Parking was included with the booking and no curfew if you take your key out with you. Clean rooms with comfy beds. Overall one of the better B&Bs.

The Car Park can be a little tight when full of cars but if you arrive early you can get the easier spots in/out.

Parking was very tight, our room was ok, I did see other rooms in the hotel looked nicer so I do think it was just our room, the shower was very small I struggled to wash my hair.

Staff were friendly and the room was comfortable.

Fabulous property a few minutes walk to cafes, restaurants and town centre. Great room, staff and breakfasts

Ambleside Townhouse was a perfect location just a few minutes to cafes, pubs and restaurants and the town itself. We stayed in the family room on the first floor and it was very spacious. Both the room and very large bathroom were spotless. The friendly and helpful staff were lovely and the breakfast fantastic. We walked approx 20 mins to Windermere to catch the ferry around Lake Windermere.

We had a medium size SUV and the short/steep entrance to the carpark was challenging especially navigating the narrow car bays.

Fabulous bed and breakfast in the heart of Ambleside

Great location in the heart of Ambleside. We booked the family room for 4 adults and there was sufficient room for us for the two nights at a great price . Staff were really friendly and breakfast was lovely

Only one car park space per room so had to park our other car in a separate car park

Great location, easy walk to main part of town with lots of shops and eateries to choose from. Friendly staff and a very comfortable room. Car park is tight but we had no issues.

Best B&B breakfast ever 🤤

Great location with on site parking. Lovely decent sized room, but the star of the show here was the breakfast. Five cooked choices, including traditional fry up, scrambled or poached eggs and two different types of pancakes, also plenty of cereal, yogurt, fruit and tea and coffee.

Disappointment

Decent size room , comfortable bed and good shower

We were given a basement room which only had a very small window, was cold with a damp smell , we found out later it was a dog friendly room. We discussed with a staff member who stated if we didn’t want a dog friendly room we should have requested one which was not dog friendly, she said the room had an automatic air freshener under the dresser which when she checked it she found it to be empty. Water was pooling in bathroom near the toilet, ceiling was stained as was some of the carpet . No apology was offered for our experience and the lady we spoke to seemed to have answers ready for my issues suggesting the hotel may have had previous problems with room 15 . We chose the hotel as it had good reviews and was in a good location.Sadly our experience was not as others have enjoyed.

Perfect location and a lovely place to stay. Would recommend.

Location was excellent. We were made to feel very welcome and lots of useful information given on arrival. The chap on reception even carried my suitcase to my room which was lovely as it was on the top floor and I may have struggled. Despite checking out at 10 am we were told we could leave the car in the car park but to be out by 3 pm checking in time for other guests. This was really helpful.

Nothing to dislike and our only grumble was the parking was a little tight and not too many parks available.

Perfect Location, Great Hospitality

Clean and comfortable rooms conveniently located near everything in town. Our room had great views, the staff was excellent, and the breakfast was delicious.

The only minor downside was that sound carried a bit, so light sleepers might be disturbed if others come in late or wake up early.

We had a wonderful stay in Ambleside and loved the morning breakfasts!

We loved how quaint the building was and how spacious our twin room was.

Our floor didn’t seem to be vacuumed and there was mold in the bathroom.

Lovely place to stay, can't fault it and we can't wait to come back again.

Staff friendly and helpful, breakfast set up, service, food choice and quality excellent. Location excellent, just a few minutes stroll into the centre of town. We had lovely room 10, great views.
