Would thoroughly recommend. We will very back!

The room was fabulous lots of little touches to make it feel homely. The hosts had thought of everything. There was a guide to local walks book about the Lakes and they even left two little bottles of Merlot for us. We had the Merlot room. The spa bath was lovely. There was even a fridge. The room was above the Cafe and breakfast was outstanding. We could order anything from the menu and there was no deadline, perfect if you wanted a lie in. The location was great for all the bars and restaurants.

Location, price, breakfast, sky sports in the room, good clean shower, warm and cosy room, staff were friendly and complimentary parking

Both mornings at around 6am, we were woken up by a chap outside in the yard making a fair bit of noise, not sure if he was gritting or moving stuff around but it woke us up both moments which was a bit annoying when we were leisurely lie in.

Great, central stay and with friendly staff

The staff were so helpful and it was family run. It was ideal location for walking and for the town. Great breakfast and I made use of the Jacuzzi bath after a long day walking.

Fantastic B&B for a Walker's Dream Holiday

Extremely comfortable bed. Shower/jacuzzi was brilliant. Everything was spotless and presented immaculately. Breakfast was incredible, and the staff were so helpful and caring.

Awkward entrance through back alley. No air con and windows potentially challenging to open if you are less physically able. Parking was also a 5 minute walk away, although having a permit to use throughout Ambleside is a pro.

Lovely room with very comfortable bed; right in the heart of Ambleside so easy to walk to pubs and restaurants. Free parking was just a few minutes walk away. Excellent breakfast from cafe's menu

A few minor maintenance issues in the bathroom and stairs could have done with a hoover.

This is a great place to stay, right in the middle of Ambleside but on a quieter road so not noisy. Niall and the team were all great and there was nothing too much for me! The room is above the cafe and was super clean and comfortable. There were a range of coffees/teas/milk options etc and some complimentary water and wine. Breakfast is served in the cafe all day which was great for me as I don't really do breakfast so I had mine at around 2pm instead. Vegetarian, pescetarian, vegan, GF or anything else, they can cater for and it was delicious. The cook actually gave me extra servings because I was a guest. Lovely place, lovely food, lovely people and of course a gorgeous location for hiking.

An 11! In the heart of town, warm, comfortable, scrumptious breaks: relaxing stay!

If we could give this stay an 11: we would! The location was central, right in the heart of Ambleside. The room was warm and inviting with fluffy towels and the bed comfortable. The spa was lovely and was used every night after our daily hikes. We enjoyed the wine and other complimentary items every night while using the free wifi to plan or watching Netflix and Sky TV. The abundant breakfast options every morning were delicious and Niall with his local knowledge provided us with many helpful suggestions which we followed and enjoyed. Thanks for having us! We will definitely rebook when we return to Ambleside from Australia!
