Cosy, welcoming and super dog friendly
Great location, staff were friendly, welcoming and went out of their way to make you feel comfortable. We took our dog and this property is very dog friendly. Our dog was welcome in all areas and at all times.
A lot of stairs to the top floor where our room was located.

Great stay, will definitely book again.
Staff were great, very welcoming and happy to look after our bags as we were several hours early for check in. Great atmosphere in the bar area, room was clean,tidy and well stocked with teas and coffee . A great location and a great price for a family of 4 with a delicious breakfast included. 5*s

Love Ambleside and The Temperance Inn is a great place to stay.
Central position. Great food and good drink selection. Staff are very helpful.
Shower was a bit small but manageable. My wife and I are not used to sleeping in a standard double bed so found it quite smalll. Will probably book single beds the next time we go so not really a problem.

Fantastic break made better by this accommodation
The location is excellent as on Ambleside high street. The breakfast was really good and a wide selection. The room was comfortable and spotless. All staff we spoke to were lovely and helpful
There is nothing we could fault about our stay here. The only thing to note is that there is no hotel parking, but plenty of council parking near by.
