Olive House - Boutique Guest House

Very clean and beautifully laid out.

Our room was very clean and very comfortable, and surprisingly quite spacious. The location couldn't have been more perfect, with Ambleside high street on your doorstep and lots of cafés and restaurants nearby. The host was very helpful and friendly, and we had no issues as checking in and out were very easy. We definitely recommend staying here, and if we return to Ambleside in the future we would definitely stay here again!

The only small downside would be that there isn't any on-site parking. However, there are a selection of car parks a short walk away and they are very reasonably priced, so for us personally it wasn't much of an issue.

Everything from booking, receiving check in information, speaking to Tim about the booking was excellent. The location in the centre of Ambleside is perfect for exploring the town and beyond. The room and bathroom were exceptional, they had everything you needed for a very comfortable stay and I had the best night sleep, the bathroom is huge with a fab shower

I'm not a fan of coffee pods and didn't know what the different coloured pods meant

Clean, comfortable, great location

It wasn’t for me. I like people and there weren’t any. Key lock on the door, so no welcome, no chat about the weather or advice on where to go and what to see.
