Comfy, warm, friendly and all round happy
Janet and her family were absolutely lovely and very accommodating. We loved our first ever stay in the Lake District because of our experience at the Wordsworth guesthouse and all that Ambleside town has to offer. They were extremely helpful and friendly. Information pack was provided in the room. The room we stayed in was fantastic with everything you needed. Thank you - we will certainly be back!
Everything was perfect … We personally struggled to find the parking at the back - is to easy to miss but if you just follow the directions provided - you’ll find it!!

We definitely recommend a stay at The Wordsworth.
Exceptional attention to detail to make your stay special and comfortable. Very welcoming yet discreet hosts. Excellent quality toiletries,linen and little extras. Teas, hot chocolate, coffee, water, biscuits and fresh milk in your room. Freshly baked delicious cakes and wine to help yourself too after your walk! Excellent top quality breakfast with a good choice for all dietary requirements. Fabulous location for Ambleside town, lake Windermere and local walks.

A true gem relaxing stay would highly recommend
It was very convenient and had free guest parking. We had a beautifully appointed room where everything had been thought out in fine detail to give maximum relaxation and comfort . We didn’t want for anything. The breakfast was delicious and the hosts were extremely friendly and really helpful .We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back to visit again

Fantastic location. Free parking round the back of the property. The room was very well looked after and warm. Lovely breakfast with lots of choice. Janet the owner was very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble to even going to the shop to buy almond milk. Very thoughtful. We loved our stay and will be back again the spring.

Perfect, fabulous, relaxing, very enjoyable
Room was cozy, comfortable, decorated very nicely and had everything we needed. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. We had a fabulous stay and will definitely return. Breakfasts has plenty of choice ad cooked well. Janet made fantastic cakes, which were complimentary and very much appreciated, thank you.

Good location in town. Lovely comfortable room with all amenities. Janet our host was very welcoming and most accommodating. We appreciated her recommendations for dinner in town. Thank you for your hospitality and a delicious breakfast to start the day!!
Off street parking was a little tricky, but doable! Good to have parking available in town!!
