Elder Grove

Perfect location with lots of nice spaces within the B and B. Excellent experience.

We especially liked the breakfast room with Lakeland slate walls. We loved the homemade Granola and fresh fruit bowls and the enormous Lakeland sauasages which came with the cooked breakfast. We also loved the breakfast choices and the way in which Andrea and Giles presented and produced the breakfast, delivering it hot, with a minimal wait and cooked to perfection. Our room was exceptionally clean, the furnishings were fresh and welcoming, the bedding crisp and white, there was plenty of Clipper tea, coffee and hot chocolate available. There was even free parking and Elder Grove was just a few minutes walk to the centre of Ambleside.

I loved the location of this BnB, its close to everything you could possibly need. It was very clean and modern and the staff were super friendly. The breakfast was excellent as well.

The only very minor gripe I have was being on the top floor on a very hot day and we only had a very small fan to keep us cool which wasnt ideal but we still loved our stay and would still 100% come back and stay again.

Perfect location- clean, comfortable and just what I needed for a base for a long day out hiking in the hills. Excellent breakfast as well. Fantastic to have a full bath in a single room

It was very hot when I was there - 30 degrees- and it was pretty warm inside: but any place in Ambleside would have been similarly warm.
