Friendly staff. The Yorkshire lass that showed me my room was very helpful. The young evening barman was great. Very informative and happy to chat when the opportunity was there.

Great for a night's stay in Ambleside, right the centre of village. We have stayed a few times.
Quirky accommodation in really old pub, old beams on ceiling etc. Good value for money.
Pillow was bit uncomfortable

Central, quirky, clean, in a lovely pub setting
Only issue was no parking BUT once we managed to get a spot nearby it was easy and enabled us to enjoy being there for longer as managed on parking times

Nice cosy old school pub
The rooms are due an upgrade, this wasn't known at the time of booking but outlined in the room details on our arrival . The room was clean but very tired looking ,with no TV which I would have expected. I'm sure once the refurbishment has taken place , this will definitely improve the experience of staying at the Unicorn.
