I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Ambleside

Lovely stay friendly hosts with a gorgeous breakfast and a sighting of a deer at breakfast!!

The location to town just enough away from the weekend noise but close enough to walk too! Parking was ample and rooms clean and spacious! Breakfast was lovely lots of choice!

Not a lot of hanging for outdoor coats in the room.

It is in a great spot, just outside the town centre. 5-10 minutes walk away. the host was friendly, the room was clean and comfortable. it was great value. I was able to get breakfast a little earlier than the official time without problem.

I don't particularly like having to fill in a list of what I may want to eat for breakfast the night before. though I understand this makes life easier for the hosts and it seems to be the way things are often done nowadays.

Large bright room. Comfortable beds, good shower, very good breakfast with a huge choice. The host was very efficient.

The room was large enough to have had two chairs but only had one. We found the room temperature hard to control on the first night but it seemed fine on the second.

Wished I’d seen the small print.

Clean and comfortable

Sad that on arrival we were informed the usual hosts were away, so breakfast wasn’t included. It seems we’d missed this small print, which was very disappointing. Whilst the temporary host was friendly and helpful, it was sad that due to unforeseen circumstances no one was available on our departure, only a note. So we saw no one. Lovely place but sadly the friendly interaction we had hoped for in a B&B wasn’t to be on this occasion.

I think for the price point things were as expected. The house and grounds would benefit from renovation but this didn't detract from our experience for the money paid.

Perfect short stay,, will be back, lovely accommodation

Stayed in the twin room, lovely room, pictures don't do it justice. Perfect location for Ambleside. Close enough to walk. Couldn't really hear the traffic. Nice and varied breakfast. We had a good stay and loved being able to walk to Ambleside.

Meadowbank is in a good location very near the beautiful village of Ambleside. The host was friendly. Breakfast was generous and delicious. The room was comfortable and clean.

Meadowbank is on a main road and you have to be very careful entering and exiting the property. The house needs some general maintenance.

The room was comfortable and the guest house is in a quiet location on the edge of town. Fresh towels every alternate day. Good breakfast, I especially liked the home-made granola yogurt pots.

Very comfartable, just what I was after

Breakfast was exalent with plenty of choice. Room very satisfactory, very clean and comfartable, exallent views, more than adiquate for my needs. Location exalent, I went in order to walk in fells. The location was perfect fot this, plenty of walks within walking distance. I was able to leave car on the accomadations car park, which for Ambleside is a big plus.

Location was excellent with a five minute stroll to the town of Ambleside. Very clean. Well organized. Excellent breakfast choices.

The twin bed nearest the window (room 7) was a little uncomfortable, either due to mattress or frame bowing a little.

Character and location, large room and bathroom, comfy bed, lovely breakfast and attentive hosts. Ambleside is a great base for the Lakes District and Meadowbank is just a short walk to the town centre.

It’s a lovely property, Mike the host was very good with ideas of what to see and how to get to various places of interest, he helped us quite a bit. The breakfast room was so well set up, and very neat and clean. The breakfast was outstanding, lots of choices and all prepared professionally and it was tasty. Our room was very nice and comfortable and the bed was good. The location was good.
