Two nights in Ambleside on our way to Scotland.

Handy to town center within easy walking distance of restaurants etc.

The owner flatly refused to make up the bed in the second bedroom. I booked this place because it advertised two bedrooms and three beds.

Lovely couple. Felt at home. Beautiful rooms. Fantastic location. Breakfast was lovely. Loved our stay here and would most definitely go again.

To be honest if I was to be very picky I would make stronger coffee. But that’s my preference and not everyone’s. Also take my own coffee as one sachet in the room wasn’t enough. But as I said that’s me being picky. It wasn’t anything that spoilt our break.

Good location

Charged for two breakfasts despite ever having them. Ice machine broken. No coffee machine in room. No AC. Unprofessional, argumentative owner. Inaccurate description all around. Would not recommend this property.

One of the most comfortable beds ever! Lovely owners, and good area. A few minutes walk to Ambleside town.

Blissful stay in lovely accommodation

Stayed for an anniversary away from the children. Great location, great facilities and room. Owners friendly and accommodating. Building maintained to a high standard.

Everything about the stay was perfect the room was comfortable and immaculate, the hosts were really friendly and accommodating the breakfast was superb and un-rushed and the location was just spot on.

Everything! The location was perfect, we took an incredible hike just minutes walk from the property and the town was mere steps away as well. The hosts could not have been nicer or more accommodating!

Location Great close to restaurants and bars with lovely views from rooms. Jo was excellent host making sure we were OK and providing suggestions for activities. There is parking spaces off the road which is always a bonus.

There is a hot Tub but you need to give 24 hours notice to book and we didnt realise this.

Prefect weekend stay

Brantholme is a lovely place to stay. Both hosts are beyond lovely and accommodating. Bed is really comfortable. We made use of the hot tub too. All round a great stay!

A relaxing weekend.

Great location. Friendly and helpful hosts. Clean, bright, spacious room with comfortable superking bed. Enjoyed a soak in the bath before bed, and a power shower in the morning. We can’t comment on the breakfast, as we didn’t make it down on time (both mornings)! But that was down to us still snoozing and wanting to lie-in a little longer - we were very comfortable. It did smell lovely though.

Overpriced for what it is. Room too small for a double. Hot-tub not included in the fee. Pre-booked breakfast slots on the quarter defeated the purpose of being on a relaxing break! Breakfast stingy.

room, views, staff all great. helpful and friendly. room very comfortable, spacious and well decorated. views stunning and very close to centre of town.

only minor issue was with booking breakfast time slots on first come first served basis, which had not realised in advance. We had early starts both days of our stay and early slots taken on Sunday but owners were very accommodating and provided workarounds to our circumstances both days, which enabled breakfast to be taken both days and even early on the Sat. reasoning for it entirely understood.
