Great staff, breakfast was delicious. Room was spacious and whole place was cosy.
Water pressure in shower a little weak but otherwise everything was great.

Fantastic location for exploring Ambleside with plenty of parking and social space. The staff were exceptional from front of house to the amazing breakfast chef who made the breakfast - don’t miss this! They went out of the way to make the stay lovely. We have stayed here a couple of times now and the only feedback is that in the superior rooms, I would expect a king size bed - the one we stayed in this time was only a double. This is a very minor point though and we would happily stay again but be organised enough to request a different room!
Slightly larger bed. Also a point for booking.com - if we have disclosed that we are bringing a dog, add this to the price. We had to pay a further £25 at the property.

Lovely staff, great location, good hot breakfast, although the continental breakfast was very disappointing. Large car park.
The hotel was tired, especially the bathroom. The shower was over the bath with a shower curtain and wasn’t very powerful. Pillows were foam and uncomfortable.

Location great. Easy parking; often you have to block park or reverse uphill etc, nice and easy at Rothay Garth. Dog friendly room in the main building; no external annex. Warm, clean and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff and last but not least, fabulous breakfast!
