Lovely clean room in a great location. Ideal stay before a long walk.

The room was pretty cold when we arrived. (Stayed in February) There was a spare heater and the main radiator which soon warmed the room up but it would have been nice if the heating was on for us arriving.

A very distrubed night's sleep.

It was very clean and on the whole comfortable. It had verything that was needed for my stay. Location was very good and the self check in was easy.

The low score is due to getting very little sleep due to the wind making what can only be a described as a loud howling noise as is vibrated the window. From roughly 2 am in the morning it was impossible to sleep due to this as it was a case of wating til the wind picked up again. The window is double glazed but would appear to not fit snugly. It has been reported and recordings of the noise sent so hopefully it will be fixed.

Well appointed and located hotel.

Located in a stand out building, which I had noticed before. A larger room than most hotels in the area. High spec fixtures and fittings. Good views out the window. A few hundred metres from the town, but this helps provide a quiet location and although on the main road, it is set back away from the road.

It didn't affect me, but the stairs would not be the easiest to negotiate if you had large luggage.

The Log House, Ambleside

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Log House, it was cozy and very convenient for the town, walking distance to the local restaurants and shops. The room had everything needed for a comfortable stay, tea and coffee facilities including a small fridge. The room was very tastefully furnished with a lovely bathroom. Easy instructions for access when we arrived and the host was very helpful on our slightly earlier arrival. Only a couple of parking spaces available which we were lucky enough to use, otherwise there is a car park across the road which is convenient or free limited time parking on the roadside. Would recommend.

If you want to sleep then this isn't the place for you.

Really nice room with new decor and a great bathroom.

If you want to sleep then this isn't the place to stay. It's communicated that it's a traditional Lakeland building and so asks guests to respect others and keep noise down. However even just walking around above our room was so loud it shakes the room and woke us constantly. Unfortunately the people staying above us came in at 1am and stayed walking around until 5am. No sleep was had. So if you want a restful night after a lovely day in the Fells then steer clear.

Room 34 - Advertised as a "superior king room" was misleading. I felt like we were in a tiny spare room with the smallest bathroom I've ever experienced. The room had a musty damp smell and the bathroom fan was running constantly with a hum - both of these meant we didn't have the best night sleep.

Perfect stay & would stay again, no question

It was really easy to pick up the key card to the room, the room was really nicely decorated, lovely bathroom & fabulous huge comfy bed…I loved that it had a fridge, iron, ironing board, fan & hairdryer with attachments too, also the location was perfect.

The only couple of issue’s we had was it was far too warm in the room, we had both windows open & the fan on full all the time & no way of turning the heating off or down. This issue is a very minor one, we thought maybe one more lamp on the desk would’ve been perfect as the big light was too bright.

Luxurious, boujee and the best place in town!

Our third visit to the log house and another fantastic trip! We have stayed in numerous rooms and as a frequent traveller I have never stayed in such comfortable beds. The rooms are always immaculate and the location is perfect. Bath tub rooms give a very luxurious feel and we will 100% return for many years to come. Thank you again for a fabulous stay!!! :)

Relaxing stay in luxurious accommodation in a beautiful town.

We were able at park in front of the property and didn't have to use the car again as the property is located a short walk from the town centre and all the amenities on offer there. Entry to our room was simple using the instructions provided ahead of our arrival , and we were very impressed by the quality of the accommodation - very modern and equipped with comfortable, tasteful furnishings.

There was nothing that you couldn’t like about the log house. It’s easy walking distance to the town parking just across across the road. There’s nothing not like.

The property is very clean and in a good location. Thank you for decorating our room for my husband’s birthday.

The parking isn’t ideal. Although, you can park in a bay from 5pm to 11am. You are parking on a main road. There is only two spaces at the front and with check in at four it’s a matter of timing to secure the spaces which are on a first come, first serve basis.

Solid self-serve accommodation in a good location

Self check-in information was comprehensive and really helpful. The room was comfortable and well presented and the location is handy as it's just a short walk up to Ambleside.

We were in the loft room so head space was a little sparse on the one side of the bed. Our fault for choosing the cheaper option as it wouldn't be an issue in the larger rooms. Took a little while for the plug in radiator to warm the room up too and the bathroom was chilly as the heating didn't seem to work in there.

The owner was very helpful. The room was very spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable. There were plenty of nearby amenities. It was in the perfect location for what we wanted to do. It was very reasonably priced and we would definitely book here again.
