Room was excellent and finished to high standard. Location is good, short walk into town.
We stayed here when it was staffed and breakfast was available and it had better feel.
Felt as if work was still going on.. hoover in fire exit, messy in places. Outside untidy.

Fabulous room, comfy large bed, quality Furnishings, large corner bath with lots of hot water, separate shower, very clean, quiet, short walk from Ambleside town centre.

Really gorgeous location, five min walk into Ambleside! The room size was perfect for a couple and the bathroom was a great size as well, lovely powerful shower and a bath that filled up quickly and was lovely and hot! The bed was cosy, and with the window open at night we could hear a small stream/brook that really encapsulated the beauty of The Lakes - peaceful, rainy evenings tucked up in bed after a big walk and some delicious food.
There was some black mould in the shower and the mattress was comprised of two separate mattresses covered with several mattress toppers that slid down every night, if we hadn’t moved it back up each day it may have ended up on the floor, and most nights one of us ended up in “the hole” (the gap between the two mattresses). We came back from a walk on Thursday at around 2/3 and were absolutely soaked so wanted to dry off our clothes, but the radiators didn’t turn on until between 5/6. There were also works being done at the property that we were unaware of and that woke us up at 8am on Thursday and Friday. I struggle with sleep and so this wasn’t ideal - it was really loud and sounded as though it was directly beneath our room.
