Wanslea Guest House

Wonderful B&B in a great location half way between the town and the lake. The room was very comfortable and had everything I needed for my 2 night stay. everything was clean and fully functional and they’d obviously considered previous guests’ feedback on all the little things like plenty of hooks on doors, shower shelf etc. The breakfast is great and you can choose what you want the night before. I’ll definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay. The couple who run it were incredibly lovely and attentive, making us feel right at home. The place was spotless, cozy, and full of character. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it!

A very friendly welcome. Easy check-in. Dining options explained including excellent choices. Very clean and tidy room and ensuite. All the expected facilities. Comfortable bed and no noise from other guests. Breakfast was very good. Good portions served quickly and attentively. Would highly recommend. When I'm in the area again this will be my first choice.

Booked this B&B to use as the first stop on our Lake District trip. It's less than a 10 minute walk from the centre of Ambleside and the owners were so welcoming. The room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was served daily in a little dining room with individual tables for each room, and you picked your food choices the night before. Tina even makes her own delicious homemade jam which was available to try as part of the breakfast - which I ended up buying, along with several other guests! Overall a lovely stay and would definitely come back.
