Apartment in Center of Lucca close to the sea and mountain

Had a great 6-night stay here. The apartment is spacious, comfy, centrally located, and on a very quiet street. If you're arriving to Lucca by train it's about a 15 minute walk from the station. The kitchen is large and fully equipped so if you want to cook a few meals at home it's ideal. FYI, if you walk out of the apartment and go right, there is a small fresh seafood shop about 2 minutes up the street on the corner on the left. And just up the street from it there's a Conad supermarket. Between the 2 we were able to cook some great dinners at home. Ida was an incredible host. Very friendly and always checking to make sure we were doing well and had everything we needed. If you are headed to the beaches in Viareggio (~17-25 minutes by train) then make sure to mention it to her and she might be able to help you out ;) All in all it was great value for the price and a great place to come home to at the end of the day. Highly recommend it.

Really nothing that took away from our experience. If you're on the taller side (over 1.85m) you'll have to watch your head on a couple of the doorframes. Also, the AC unit is located in the main bedroom. It works great, but doesn't have much of an effect in the 2nd bedroom. Although when I walked over there to check the temperature difference out of curiosity it wasn't THAT bad, and we were in Lucca during a brutal heatwave.

Advertised as 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom good but bedroom2 seemed unready for us NO duvet bedside table and lamp unconnected and hidden behind bed. Very tight space at bedsides. No wardrobe space full of stored junk. bathroom 2 cupboard off sitting room. No shower, mirror or place to put anything except on floor which got very wet as basin only size to wash hand and low wall above made it impossible to bend over basin to wash face.
