The location was excellent. In a quiet building just off a main street.

No breakfast was offered - they dont do breakfast in winter. However, I could use the kitchen area to make tea and the nearby cafe looked great.

Central location, short walk to station, comfy bed in a spacious room with a good sized bathroom. There was some flexibility with check in time which was appreciated.

A very comfortable and convenient place to stay in Lucca

The B&B was well located inside the walls of the old town of Lucca. Restaurants, shops and various food shops were close by. The room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast was excellent and the host was very helpful with information about Lucca and using public transport.

Breakfast was good even if options were limited - only Corn Flakes as a cereal. The owner was helpful and informative and was always available to talk. On checkin he was communicative and flexible

Very well located within Lucca…and nearby the train station. A few things to improve with room service.

Location and cleanliness.

Room accessories, toiletries, towels, blanket were almost absent. Had to find ourselves some of these items. Breakfast was served too late, 8:30AM.

Brilliant and relaxing

Lovely clean and comfortable B&B in great location near centre of Lucca. Gabriele and his mother Deborah were great hosts. Breakfast was perfect and we would definitely return and recommend

Only minor problem was trying to find it as it is not signposted because it isn't a hotel. Deborah sent me a message via Booking.com but I didn't see it! Easiest way was ringing the personal mobile on the Booking.com B&B site.

The perfect place to stay in Lucca with extremely friendly and helpful staff.

The staff at Maison Gentile are friendly, well organised and very helpful. Gabriel gave clear instructions for checking in, with recommendations for where to eat, and then Enea looked after us extremely well for 4 days. The room had a lovely view and was spotlessly clean. The location was perfect for experiencing beautiful Lucca.

Warmest and "THE BEST" family-run B&B in Italy-Lucca: Superb host & Excellent sevice !!

I booked 2 nights at this family-run B&B for my daughters' trip to Italy. They praised the best accommodation and warmest stay of their trip. Great location and superb host! Lucca is charming, but Gabriele and his team's friendliness and attention to details made their stay even more memorable. We are proud of their exceptional service. Great location, spotlessly clean, friendly host!

Perfect location, so central…everywhere was walking distance from the apartment. Gabriele was an excellent host, he contacted me before arrival to offer assistance with finding the property. He was there to introduce us to our room and facilities and then every morning he was there to make delicious Italian coffee on request while we helped ourselves from a nice variety of tasty options at the breakfast buffet! Our room was cleaned every morning and fresh towels/ bedding supplied. I could not recommend this place highly enough! Thoroughly enjoyed my stay, I’ll be back!

With the new management, had just taken over, we feel the standards will improve.

It was clean, had a lift, good position, staff were helpful.

Air conditioning was in bad position, facing the same level as the bed. The room wasn’t suitable for 3 people.

Smooth booking process with excellent communication prior to arrival. Perfect location and an authentic family welcome from both the granddaughter and her lovely ‘Nonna’. Large, spotless and effective air conditioned room-also a good variety at breakfast which exceeds a ‘traditional’ Italian breakfast.

Lucca is a great place to visit and the hotel location enabled us to make the most of our stay.

Couldn't have asked for a better location, in the centre of Lucca and within 10 mins of all attractions. Breakfast was adequate - toast, cereal, fruit and yogurt. Limited selection.

The cushions on the bed and the flannels provided were dirty. The arrangement of the rooms straight onto the dining area took a little of getting used to, but was ok.

I've stayed here before because I love the location. The room and bath are also a good size and very modern. Only 15 minute walk from the train station.

The breakfast selection could have a little more variety. But it had enough for us since we don't eat a large breakfast. The shower is small. But we're small people.

Hosts were really kind and fast to reply, and the breakfast was good, too, with amazing expresso or latte. Really well located. One tip, it's hard to drive into the city with a big car and small streets,, but there is free parking outside the city walls, best to ask the hosts for some parking/luggage tips.

A Great Place to Stay in Lucca

My husband and I were traveling with another couple. Maison Gentile worked out perfectly for us. It is in the heart of the old part of Lucca with restaurants and stores right down the street. We each had our own room and bathroom (with a lock and key) and there was a kitchen/eating area in between our rooms. The room and bathroom were clean with fresh towels and toiletries. The host met us there and showed us around which was helpful. He was also very helpful with our questions about Lucca. The breakfast was exceptionally good. There was fresh coffee, a warm dish, something like a quiche, croissants, meat and cheese, fruit, yogurt and much more that I can't remember. I have no complaints!
