Great rooms with private bath and shared kitchen in old town Lucca.
Communication with Manuel was efficient and he was there to meet us when we arrived to show us around.
The whole place was clean and we felt safe. It was wonderful to have an espresso/cappuccino for the morning as well.
As others have mentioned, there are stairs and the last set is quite steep. Not a problem for us but may be if you have mobility issues.
There was nothing that I didn't like.

We had a great stay at Il Vicolo, the location was perfect, it was very comfortable with great facilities, had everything we needed and our host was very welcoming at check in, would definitely stay again!
We stayed 3 nights and by the third we found the mattress to be a little hard on our backs.

Breakfast was not included but kitchen facilities were great.
Since we didn't have internet access during our trip it was impossible to contact the host ( who lives 10 km from the apartment). We waited an hour outside the entrance until another group , who fortunately had contacted him, arrived and we could get in. Very long and steep stairs to the entrance would make the apartment unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues.
