great location, nice old style, well renovated

Amazing location, in the very heart of Lucca, all attractions at walking distance. Cozy and comfortable room in old style yet nicely end effectively restored. Shared kitchen with all facilities, including a great coffee machine. Super kind and helpful owner, who provided support and useful suggestions even before my arrival.

The only flaw is the accessibility through steep stairs, yet of course it is due to the fact that the apartment is located in an old building in the historical centre.

Great value in beautiful Lucca.

Great find for an overnight stay in the center of Lucca. Manuel was a great host, and the room was spacious and very quiet. This Airbnb is conveniently located very close to major landmarks in Lucca.

Be prepared for steep stairs, specially if you are carrying a large luggage of have any mobility issues.

Amazing stay in beautiful Lucca

Fantastic location between Basilica San Frediano and Piazza dell Anfiteatro. Everything is a just short walk away. The room was modern, well laid out, spotlessly clean and comfortable bed. There's a shared kitchen with everything you could possibly need for your stay. A brilliant coffee machine! We made our own breakfast in the apartment most mornings. Manuel is an excellent host and was there every day to clean and always answered any messages promptly. We would definitely stay again if we're ever back in Lucca. We did parkrun on the Saturday morning, the start was an ideal mile warmup around the city wall (or much closer if you cut across town!)

We found the room very cold the first couple of nights, but we mentioned it to Manuel and he was super helpful adjusting the radiator thermostat in our room. Not an issue for us, but be aware that there is a couple of flights of steep stairs up to the entrance.

Breakfast was not included but kitchen facilities were great.

Since we didn't have internet access during our trip it was impossible to contact the host ( who lives 10 km from the apartment). We waited an hour outside the entrance until another group , who fortunately had contacted him, arrived and we could get in. Very long and steep stairs to the entrance would make the apartment unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues.

Manuel was great - easy to communicate with and helpful taking bags up to accomodation. Brilliant room right next to church… central, quiet, all mod cons in the kitchen. Safe storage for bikes- fabulous!

If you aren’t very fit it is 3 floors up! Don’t bring heavy cases!!

Perfect hotel in Lucca!

Amazing location, we loved our stay here. The aircon was great, shower was a dream the room was so spacious with a great view and you can literally roll to the main area - there was even someone playing the saxophone one morning it drew us out for a coffee - such an amazing time we didn’t really use the communal facilities but great to have them - coffee machine and a cooking area. Manuel was really informative and helpful.

Lovely host and perfect location

Host was kind and great to talk to, the location is as good as it gets (right by the center and yet very quiet), and the rooms are comfortable. The shared kitchen came in handy too!

Locationi was great; view from room was nice. Price was decent.

Room, though very clean, smelled slightly of cigarette smoke and dirty feet (perhaps in fabric of headboard?). Host was not there to meet us at indicated time; he had emailed to ask us to call him, but we were out of wifi and not getting emails. Extra pillows would be useful. There was only one partial roll of toilet paper.

Great location and beautifully appointed. Common area has all that you need and is squeaky clean. Manuel is a helpful yet discreet host - always there if you need him and quick to respond to any queries. In easy walking distance to all attractions, I'm delighted with our stay!

Host welcoming, best value room

Manuel was super welcoming and open to our last-minute requests to store our luggage for a couple of hours. The room is located in a renovated flat but keeps the personality of the original building. The city is lovely.

The shower was missing one door, so it was challenging to take a shower without making a mess, but I guess this will be fixed soon.

In the heart of Lucca. Super convenient access from train station bus and for exploring the old city. Spotless. Wonderful host, and quiet room.

The Stairs are a challenge for getting luggage up and down, but Manuel was super helpful in carrying them for us. Just be wary if you are not so young and agile.

Overall, my stay was good, the hotel was one of the quirkiest I've stayed in.

breakfast was not available - self catering - I went out to eat. Plenty of good cafes. Kitchen had a very good coffee maker. I was met at the property by Manuel who comes in every day when guests check in or out. Location was perfect, right in the centre of the city.

The hotel (converted flat with four bedrooms) was up 30 stairs and they were quite steep. There was no kettle in the room. Only one door on the shower, the other was missing.

Hearth of Lucca for a typical stay

Super new apartment recently renovated in the hearth of Lucca and very quiet. Kitchen with all the necessary for cooking and excellent coffee machine with grains. The room is very big and comfortable for long stays! The bathroom is completely new with all equipment working well and very good quality hair dryer. The cleaness of the place is super really remarkable. The owner: too nice and friendly and helpful. He also changes my towels!!!

In the prefect spot to reach all the wonderful sights of Lucca. Minutes from the anfiteatro, famous piazzas and via Filungo shopping street. A moments walk (60mtrs) to reach the fabulous Walls of Lucca. Restaurants and cafes in the San Frediano piazza next door. The rooms are quiet and super clean. Tuscan style with a renovated modern twist for comfort - aircon and heating as well as gorgeous bed with linen Bedhead and convenient usb chargers built into the walls beside the bed. Everything has been fully considered during the reno.

Fantastic location

There was so much to love about this place, especially the location, being literally a stone's throw from the Anfiteatro. The room we stayed in was of a good size, had a large en-suite bathroom, and was spotlessly clean as well as being tastefully decorated. Manuel was a top notch host and was quick to respond to any questions we had during our stay. We will be recommending this place to anyone visiting Lucca.

Fantastic stay, lovely clean rooms and amazing location.

It looks like the room had recently been renovated because the room was lovely and had an en-suite bathroom. Manuel was lovely and helped us get into the place easily. The location was amazing and just around the corner from the amfiteatro. The kitchen was great too.

The stairs up were a bit narrow and hard to take up the suitcases but this is really minimal. The kitchen is open plan and so if people are making food late at night then it risks being loud for the other guests. Everything else was great.

Clean one night stay, would recommend

Manual showed us around which was helpful. Very powerful shower & hair dryer The whole place was spotlessly clean

the towels were clean but we thought smelt smokey but this wouldn’t put me off going again. The steel steps to get up there, if you’re unsteady on your feet or with heights this isn’t for you.

A good place for staying in Lucca. In the middle of the historical city but not the most crowded place. The host is really friendly, helpful and talkative. Room and bathroom are perfect, very clean and well furnished. A comfortable extra is the common alias kitchen. So: all was good for me.
