We had a lovely time, and the apartment was perfect for us.

Great location. Lovely, clean and spacious room. Host was easy going and friendly and had great communication with us. Check in insturctions were very clear and easy to follow.

We had a big suitcase, which wasn't easy to carry up the several flights of stairs. It is common of these types of old italian buildings, but was the ONLY negative thing about the apartment.

Great place for a short stay in a truly beautiful gem of a city.

This place has a truly excellent location, right next to the main square, though not overlooking it as its pictures suggest. (Perhaps other rooms have that room, but ours definitely did not, so it should not have been advertised with such a misleading picture.)

We were fine with what we got, though a kettle or coffee machine would have been a welcome addition.

Lovely Lucca stay

Location is brilliant, room is lovely, check in procedure was easy.

None of the views were as shown in the photos, no one around to talk to or ask anything. And no lift, which wasn't a problem for me but could be an issue for older people or families with kids.

Close to the Center

The location is excellent, close to Center. I recommend it to young people. Because it is on the fourth floor and there is no elevator

The location is great. The owner is fantastic and also has a restaurant nearby where the food is very good. Good enough for locals vs tourists. He really bent over backwards to help accommodate me and even carried one of my bags. The room is simple and not fancy. But everything was clean and worked. It was exactly what I needed for a one night stay.

There are a lot of stairs to climb. I was carrying a lot with me, so that was hard. But, things like that are to expected in places as historic as the anfiteatro area.

Nice location, but not very clean

Location is great :) Breakfast is served in a close cafe. The first breakfast was great many fresh pastries- there were many guests because it was a bank holiday in Italy, but after the second night we got only leftovers from the previous day.

In the bathroom was mould, the floor was covered with dust, and it was extremely chilly during nights (beginning of April) and the heating did not work- I had to wear my scarf and sweater

We LOVED it. This was our fourth time to stay in Anfiteatro, and it was GREAT!!

Absolutely great location within the walls of Lucca! Value on staying there was extremely reasonable. Having breakfast each morning was the “cherry on the top”.

Can be a little noisy at night being close to restaurants, but was manageable. The mattress on our bed probably should be changed soon, as it was a little soft and sagging, but, it, to was manageable. Did not detract from our stay overall.

Very nice stay almost in the main piazza of Lucca. Great location, very comfortable room. The personel is extremely kind and helpful. Would go back without a doubt.

Not that I didn't like, but the only thing you need to be aware of is that there are stairs.

Superb

The location is great if you want to spend time in the square. The room was spacious. We didn't stay for the breakfast (left early) and the view was nice. Host communication is good. Value for money good.

Property: - be prepared to climb lots of steps with your bags - the bed mattress was very bouncy Lucca: - taxis are rare - if you can't make phone calls, like us, you are going to wait some time and might miss your tour!

A pleasant stay, but the neglect of the small details left a bad taste.

Ideal location in the heart of Lucca with a clean and spacious room. Standard Italian-styled breakfast. The room has an empty minibar and a semi-functioning aircon.

We never received our check-in information and had to ask strangers from the nearby shops to help us contact the owner because we could not reach him on the provided number. The entire process was very unprofessional and distasteful. There was no kitchen available which is in direct contradiction with what the booking stated.

Location is great. The breakfast is really nice. Easy check in and they let us leave our bags before check in as we were early.

Bed wasnt comfy could feel the springs. The lady didnt speak to us at breakfast a hello would you like a coffee would have been enough.

Spacious room near the Piazza dell'Anfiteatro

The property is located in a great area, within the city walls and right next to the Piazza dell'Anfiteatro. Restaurants just outside the door are fantastic, we didnt have to go far for a good dinner. The room was spacious and clean, the bed was a little worn out. Breakfast was good and fresh but a bit limited.

As mentioned before, the bed was a bit worn out. Due to the location - right at the Piazza dell'Anfiteatro- the nights are a little noisy. Please be aware that you have to climb a fair amount of stairs - the B&B is located on the 3rd floor, and there is no elevator in the building.

1 night stay in Lucca

Location, value for money and sense of history

On arrival, we found the rooms were on the 3rd floor. The stairs were extremely steep and hard work and this was not made clear in any of the advertising literature. This should be made clear to pre-warn anyone of a certain age or with mobility issues. It's very basic but in a perfect and beautiful location which is It's saving grace.

The location was wonderful. Right in the heart of Lucca. The breakfast room area was very comfortable and the staff service there was superior. The food selection was quite good.

Lovely Lucca

Great position, our bedroom facing away from piazza was probably quieter (even though entrance was behind front desk). Emma looked after us at breakfast, delicious cappuccino and croissants. 15% discount at nearby Piccolo Osteria was very welcome. Park Run around the city walls starts about 12 min walk away.

Location is good. The room is spacious.

The room was literally behind the reception desk (when opening the door you could hit the chair of the reception). Whenever someone enters the reception you hear the noise. In particular when breakfast is prepared at 8.00 am you hear all what is being done so you can no longer sleep. Communication with staff was really difficult and not very helpful. Information about getting to the apartment by car would be useful. We asked once and we were told there was no problem. We asked again in the morning and now our plate number needed to be written down. We were also told we needed to leave the room at 11.00 but no one was there at 11.00 to do the check-out. Attention was in general very disappointing. Adding to the host's comments: the room is right next to the apartment entrance, so everytime anyone enters the apartment you can hear it. Indeed the preparation of the breakfast was so noisy (or the walls so thin, or both) that we could no longer sleep when it started. The fist time I asked about getting with my car into the LTZ I was told I had to do nothing. I asked again next day because it was weird to me that my plate number need not be registered. This time I was told I needed to provide my plate number. Lucky that I asked twice, otherwise I would probably have paid a fine. By the way, both times I asked the same person, who, both times, was really not very pleased to help.
