KB CityRooms Self-Check-In

Excellent location and a great host! She kindly allowed us to check out later when we asked, which we really appreciated, especially since it was raining.

The property doesn’t have a kitchen. It was also quite noisy because it’s located above a restaurant. Additionally, the window shades didn’t work properly, so one of the rooms didn’t get dark enough at night.

Location was excellent, right across from the old town and right next to the river. Very easy to get to from the train station and short walk to the lake. Self check-in and out was super easy. Nice touch having a few beers and water in the fridge. The fan was also very helpful to have in the heat.

Room was small but all we needed for 1 night. If we had a big suitcase we would have struggled to open it out. There is a restaurant below so a bit of noise in the evening but nothing crazy.

Comfortable and location was great!

No curtains no privacy :( Staff were not interested in helping me out when I couldn’t get into my apartment. Unsympathetic and made it a point to tell me that I shouldn’t be asking other guests for guidance. Miria however was very helpful and kind. Although I never met her as there is no reception, her messages were always polite and considerate.

Central location in an historical area of the city. Reasonably nice room, functioning equipment.

The touchscreen where to type the code to obtain the key was old/hard to operate. I had to insert the code maybe 8-10 times before it actually took the correct code in - when pressing the confirmation button it would add a number to the code instead. The entrance area and stairs is very, very budget, almost dingy I'd say. The room was fairly small, had reasonably nice features but the windows frames, the curtains and the radiators do not quite match the quality of the rest of the room. The duvet and the pillow fabric had a strange relief pattern that I didn't find comfortable. The room was quite warm and I had to leave a window open overnight to let some cool air in. I wouldn't want to stay there in the heat of summer. I found the price a bit too steep for the budget nature of the hotel and the room I was given. I have been in other hotels in the area with similar quality rooms and they were about 30% cheaper (circa 105 chf, vs 135 chf).
