Great hotel

Great property! Only stayed there one night but the hotel itself was very nice. The room was spacious and comfortable, the breakfast was great with hot food options and location was good as well.

A highly recommended place in Luzern.

The breakfast is quite sufficient with some options. I think it is a huge advantage when you travel in Switzerland! The room was clean and warm during cold winter days. The bathroom was spacious and clean, as well. There is hot water 24/7. The location was perfect, and everything is within walking distance. The ladies at the reception were very helpful and informative. They even helped us get our tickets for Mount Rigi.

There is no minifridge in the room; it is a boutique hotel, so I understand. Yet, it could be an advantage.

A fair hotel, not boutique and basic rooms and setting. A 20min trek from the train station.

Bed was comfortable

Average hotel (definitely not boutique) - basic rooms and environment given the high price. Location not walkable from station - too far with luggage. Staff a bit difficult on check in. All in all ok for an overnight stay.

Clean , spacious room and quiet . Takes about 12-15 mins walk from train station. Short 5 mins walk to the busy area. Gets a little crowded in the am during breakfast . Breakfast was ok.

A comfortable stay in a good location

Excellent stay. The lady at the reception was very nice.

The room was neat. The bed linens were spotlessly clean and bright white. Breakfast was decent and there was a reasonable variety. Location is convenient, about 10 minutes walk from the station. With luggages, you need a car/taxi, but normally one can walk.

Nothing to dislike. If you need gym or swimming pool, I am not sure if they exist, but we did not need those facilities.

We enjoyed our stay

The hotel is in a very good location,near local stores and restaurants and 12 minutes walk from the train station. We had a good stay , the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Also, the breakfast served was very good. It is a cool and clean hotel. I highly recommend it.

Happy with our stay and what was offered.

The breakfast was fine and offered good range. The location of the hotel was excellent and close to restaurants and ideal for walking.

Pillows had no substance in them. Too soft.

I wish we could have stayed longer!

What a nice little place to stay! We were within walking distance of all of the attractions we wanted to see in Lucerne. The hotel staff was very helpful in getting us tickets for the Mt. Pilatus tour.

We did not get a room with a view of the river. The accommodations were still very nice for our family.

It rained the whole time, disappointing but still rode the Platus dragon ride and visited the wounded loin.

Location was ideal for exploring the city. Breakfast was excellent! Staff were helpful and accommodating. Beds were comfortable. It was quite warm while we were there, but the room was very comfortable with a ceiling fan and additional fan.

Luzern stay to see Wales at the Women's Euros 2025

Great location near to the centre of the old town but in a nice quiet spot along the banks of the river. Very clean, comfortable with spacious rooms and a very spacious shower room. Breakfast was perfect with a mix of hot food and cold meats and breads..... really nice coffee and even prosecco available should you be tempted! Very friendly and welcoming staff.

Through no fault of the venue we stayed in Luzern during a heatwave so the rooms were very warm during the day but the ceiling fans and additional floor standing fans helped keep the room comfortable to sleep in at night.

The property was very clean and the staff very friendly. It was very warm when we were there, but there were ceiling fans and they brought in a great stand up fan. The breakfast was delicious with a lot of options.

Basic, dorm-like rooms and mixed service experience—some in our group felt unfairly treated by staff

We stayed at Boutique Hotel Karl as a group of 7 and booked two rooms. The rooms were basic and had more of a dormitory feel—not as nice as our other hotel bookings, but still decent for a short stay. Unfortunately, some of our friends didn’t have a good experience with certain staff members and felt they were treated differently, which was disappointing.
