Very charming traditional house that is nicely restored. Restaurant onsite is excellent - Michelin standard in our opinion. Short hikes in surrounding are highly satisfying, especially the somewhat hidden trail to Renggloch water fall about 45 min away (Note: quite a bit of uphill climb)

No direct bus nor train connections. If you have big luggage, taxi or rental car is required.

Breakfast was good. Staff was pleasant and helpful

Location was very nice. ~3km from two train stations to Lucern. Staff was very friendly and accomidating.

The window was missing the inscet screen. We has a few flies come into the room.

We booked this place 1hr before our arrival as a stopover point. We loved everything about the hotel, especially the restaurant. The chef is simply amazing and the food is unbelievable delicious. It is definitely a Michelin level of restaurant. We were greeted by some friendly staff in the restaurant as there was no reception desk. That was totally fine and we were quite enjoying the style.

Everything was perfect until the second day. We were very upset to be woke up at 9am by knocking on the door. I asked several times and nobody answered. Even worst, they started knocking every hour after 9am until 12. I asked again and nobody answered. Not even a simply sorry. Didn’t bother to leave a complaint upon checking out as everyone was busy in the kitchen. Final thoughts : Restaurant-Awesome, not just the food but also the quality of training and management. Definitely gonna come back in future. Highly recommend to everyone who is going to visit the town. Hotel- Disorganized. This has become our worst stay on the road trip.

We liked EVERYTHING! A great surprise. It was only meant to be a convenient stop-over driving between the UK and Italy, but it turned up to be the highlight of the trip. Excellent dinner, comfortable and well appointed room, beautiful settings, and the staff were professional, courteous, attentive and made you feel welcome. We would certainly return next time we drive through the area.

The room we had was a little noisy due to passing traffic but we still had a great sleep.

Wir waren lediglich zum Übernachten im Gasthof. Es ist ein sehr schönes historisches Gebäude mit zweckmässig eingerichteten Zimmern. Die Dusche/WC im Zimmer sind klein und liebevoll eingerichtet. Alles war sehr gut gereinigt. Die Betten waren sehr gut. Das Personal ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Für den Check-in, einfach beim Weinklimaschrank warten. Das Restaurant konnten wir nicht ausprobieren da dieses am Sonntagmorgen kein Frühstück anbietet. Es gibt jedoch einige Frühstücksmöglichkeiten in der Umgebung.

Leider war die Schallisolation im Zimmer sehr schlecht. Unbedingt Ohrstöpsel einpacken!

The bed was comfortable, that was about all.

The pictures online were quite different than in person. Also the bathroom did not match at all what it looked like on the photos. In the bathroom, the shower would spray everywhere and it was extremely difficult to keep the floors from getting sopping wet. Our room was extremely warm and we were sweating the whole time. We decided to open the windows one night to breathe and mosquitoes swarmed the room covering us with bites. I have one under my eye and my husband has over 100 bites everywhere. We asked to be moved to a cooler room or one further from the busy road and we were met with this reply: “as you did not properly inform yourself about the location, opening times, air conditioning, and so on, I can only offer you to check out early”. We ended up seeing someone working walking around and asked for a fan. The management woman was extremely rude. Do NOT stay here please. D Bilder im Internet sind ganz anders gsi als in Echt. Vor allem s’Badezimmer hät überhaupt nüt mit däne Fotos z’tue gha. D Dusch hät überall usegspritzt und s’isch mega schwierig gsi, de Boden nid triefnass z’lah. Üses Zimmer isch extrem heiss gsi, mir händ d ganze Ziit nur gschwitzt. Ei Nacht hämmer d Fenschter ufgmacht zum es bitzli Luft z’kriege – grad denn sind aber Mückä i d’Zimmer inecho und händ üs vollstoche. Ich han e Stych grad underem Auge und min Maa het über 100 Stych am ganze Körper. Mir händ gfrogt, öb mer chönnt in es chühleres Zimmer oder öb’s öpis weniger nöch bim laute Strass het. D Antwort isch gsi: «Weil Sie sich nid richtig informiert händ über d’Lage, Öffnigszeite, Klimaanlag usw., cha i Ihne nume aabiete, früener usez’checke.» Am End hämmer denn öpper vom Personal gseh umegah und händ nach eme Ventilator gfrogt. D Chefin isch aber extrem unhöflich gsi. Bitte, bleibt nöd da!

Superlage in Mitte der Natur . Ringsum Wiesen . Frühstücke köstlich

Sehr sauber und schön eingerichtete Zimmer und unser Hund war sehr willkommen. Das Frühstück war hervorragend und es wurde auf individuelle Wünsche eingegangen. Wir haben sehr schöne erholsame Tage verbracht. Einfach alles hat gestimmt.

Joli petit hôtel à quelques minutes de la ville, au calme dans les prés verdoyants. L'accueil est sympathique et professionnel, le personnel aimable et serviable. Les chambres sont grandes et très propres. Le restaurant est excellent, et c'est un vrai plus sur place. La chambre familiale est immense, avec une très belle salle de bain, une literie confortable, et très au calme.

Nous n'avons pas pris le petit déjeuner sur place, très cher pour un petit déjeuner sans met chaud préparé à la demande. Malgré que nous ayons booké 4 chambres, nous n'avons pas eu droit à un late check out sur une seule.

Das Personal, was wir getroffen haben, war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Da wir zu einer Feier eingeladen waren, haben wir nicht gefrühstückt.

Ungewöhnlich war, dass das Haus nachts "nur" von Gästen bewohnt war. Die nach und aus Luzern führende Strasse ist in der Woche sehr befahren. In der Nacht von Samstag auf Sonntag war es deutlich ruhiger.

Ausgesprochen tolles Gasthaus mit sensationellem Essen und ausgesprochen freundlichem und zuvorkommenden Mitarbeitern. Komfortable Zimmer und insgesamt ein Platz zum wohl fühlen. Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen und wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Geräumige, sehr saubere Zimmer. Außergewöhnlich freundliches Personal. Sehr gutes Essen, Küche auch noch um 21:00 Uhr geöffnet.
