Well maintained hotel-walking distance to the centre of Lucerne

Short 11 min walk to Train Station and to the sights. Located in a lovely street. No street noise when windows closed. Lovely welcome from reception -explained the details thoroughly. Very clean, bed comfortable, breakfast well presented and sufficient for all. Air con didn’t work, but there was a fan.

Great Staff, Large Rooms and very clean!

Easy bus ride or walk from the train station and boat dock. The staff went out of their way to be "tourist" helpful. Rooms were large and comfy. No complaints!

Would definitely stay here again.

Very good breakfast with variety. Location was perfect, not by the lake, but very short walking distance (not even 10 full minutes). Noise wasn’t heard at night at all, staff was super nice and they store your luggage if you get there too early for check in. Would definitely stay here again.

No kettle. No fridge. Elevator is very busy. Breakfast is not great. Feels very old, the button of the toilet is falling apart. The door couldn’t close, unless you lock it. Really doesn’t worth the price, and I can’t understand how it’s rated so high… I shortened my stay from 3 to 2 nights.

Well worth the distance.

Spacious Rooms. Excellent location. Quite close to old town, chappel bridge etc. Groceries were not close, but many late night pizza stores were closeby. Helped for late evening dinners. Multiple buses to take you to the railway station (3 stops). Take Bus #10 to its third stop from the main train station. They hold on to your luggage if you arrive early. Special mention for the breakfast crew who do an amazing job. Front office has great hospitality for new tourists to Lucerne

Plan for a 20-25 minute walk if you decide to skip the bus. Also no groceries or laundry close by.

Very nice location and friendly reception staff. There was even wine at bfast! They were nice to cater request for birthday surprise.

Real basic hotel - will not return

A/C was great (not trivial to Switzerland) Nothing more...

The hotel was quite basic , old wall2wall rugs , weary furniture . We noted the staff beforehand that we are going to celebrate our engagement there, and they said they noted it . The staff told us that the house keeping , arranged hearts shaped towels , and other nice gestures , but in fact none of it was true (and no one checked it before our arrival) When we arrived we received a room in the top floor, which had an incline in the ceiling - which was not good because I bumped my head several times in this wall when I woke up or went to sleep (There were no other rooms - the hotel was fully booked and no other compensation was offered) Further more, the bed was separated during the night - it was not a real double bed , but instead 2 singles that were connected and then separated somehow - Therefore there were no cuddling during the nights :( No kettle set in the room Breakfast was basic yet sufficient

The location was excellent. Reception staff really friendly and helpful. Breakfast staff not so friendly. No bread left for toast and refused to get more at 9am in the morning. Also none of them smiled even.

excellent, friendly, helpful staff of really nice people. I might rate this hotel lower except that the staff was outstanding.

parking was terrible. they said on-site parking was available but this consisted of three tiny spaces on a sloped driveway with very difficult access. the hotel itself is in a quiet neighborhood lacking facilities relatively far from the tourist area of the old city. our top floor room was tiny and had a slopped ceiling which was a major threat whenever we walked about.

Perfect accommodation for visiting Luzern

Impeccably designed and fitted for our stay. Fantastic location and incredible breakfast buffet. A/C worked very well.

We found the beds a bit too soft for us. Oddly, there was no light switch for the bathroom, it’s entirely automatic. This presents issues of disturbing your partner when using the bathroom at night.

Location Friendly staff at reception

Mattress was overused and sunk down in middle making for uncomfortable night. Signs in elevator and all over breakfast area asking people not to be wasteful with food. Breakfast staff refused to allow us to bring a registered medical assistance dog into the breakfast room even when we were sitting away from all food and other guests. Bedroom furniture and carpet were tired and needed to be replaced. We paid over $250 for one night which was way to much for the condition of the hotel

Best service ever! We really enjoyed our stay there . Room was very clean and quiet. Nice views from the window. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was good. Very convenient location. You can walk to the restaurants and train station. Would definitely go again.

Good solid option for a great location and clean place on a budget

Amazing location, and very good sized rooms. Breakfast also a nice spread and nice to have included! Feels like a good place to stay that's quality on a budget.

Rooms felt a bit dated and old, not very modern, but clean overall. Automatic bathroom lights are annoying because they turn on in the middle of the night and wake people up if someone goes into the bathroom.

I found the very early availability for having breakfast of particular benefit, as I usuallyy like to start my day exploring the area as soon as is practicable.

I found the buffet selection to be reasonably wide-ranging, although I was hoping for a selection of rolls. I also felt the coffee available from the machine could be set at a slightly higher temperature.
