Anstatthotel Luzern - app self-check-in

Anatatthotel is conveniently located one stop by train to Luzern Station and nine stops (10 minutes) by bus to Luzern Station. The room is comfortable with room for three people. It feels ample and bright. A small dinning table and a patio dinning set are very convenient for having a meal insode and morning coffee outside. There is a supermarket five minutes away and another one ten minutes away. Grocery prices are very comparable and sometimes less than the United States. The room has a coffee maker but keep in mind that you need to purchase extra coffee pods, sugar and cream. Having a kitchenette in Luzern is very convenient due to the cost of dinning out. The kitchen comes stock with pots, pans, China, utensils and even a strainer. There is a microwave but is for juat heating. The refrigerator is small but it does have a freezing compartment. There are a few restaurants near by that won't brake the bank. Do note that this is a self check in hotel and there is no front desk nor staff at the site. However if you need help with the check in process you can call and they will help ypu navigate through the process. Do not expect your room to be clean everyday. However, there ia a vacuum cleaner available to use if needs be.

The shutters for the patio door. It makes ypu feel like you are inside a container. The bathroom has a sewage smell but I purchased some toilet scent hanger freshener and put it on the toilet rim and on the shower drain and it help dispel the odor. You have to take your garbage out to the dumpster.

Good proximity to a train station and supermarket. Room was clean and offered everything we could need. Staff were very responsive on Whattsapp and sorted out any issues quickly.

The app check in did not work on our Android devices despite troubleshooting. The staff were quick to respond online though and once we were inside (using an older spare phone we had with us) they were able to remotely set up a key card for us.

Spacious,clean,had all basic essentials/kitchenette. We needed 3 beds, which it had. We had an apartment at the rear of the building,which was very quiet despite the whole building being on a very busy road. Decent value. Please note, we tend to use accomodation mainly to sleep in, as we tend to go out in the daytime.

The glass window to the balcony had a full length metal shutter over it, which we weren't aware how to raise (eventually did).The balcony door again was a little difficult to determine how to open fully to access the balcony(eventually we did). This unfortunately meant we couldn't always have the shutter raised/door open, so the room was really hot(early August) despite there being a fan-I think there was a canvas type blind on the outer part of the balcony but we didn't stay long enough to tyr to lower it-this may have helped. The balcony door couldn't fully open due to the beds, however I think there was room to move them. The view from the balcony was of what appeared like an unoccupied derelict house. I didn't mind it too much as it was characterful. We also struggled to find it but once we did get the right bus/work out where it was,it was only maybe 10 minute ride from the city centre plus short maybe 300 yard walk to the bus stop. No microwave. I appreciate all these issues may have or were resolved after making enquiries or finally working out how to access the said things.

The staff wasn’t supportive at all. I tried calling them for almost an hour they didn’t even bother to respond.
