Good hostel, rude management

Very good for the price, facilities were clean, location was good.

Check in hours are very restrictive and management was very unpleasant when I tried to check in at 9 pm. I firmly believe they would have let me sleep outside event hough the reservation was pre-paid had I not kept escalating the phone calls. Very unpleasant, but once I had my room card everything was OK.

Horrible

Nothing!

The room was smelling like onions, the person who was there was eating inside. I couldn’t sleep of the bad smell. Also there is no elevator, they don’t do the bed you have to lift the blanket with your luggage without elevator to the 3rd floor then for the check out it’s the same you have to takeoff the blankets and leave it in the reception. Early check out at 10 am and check in at 4 pm why if you have to do the things by yourself. Very expensive I regret it! 62€ wasted to the garbage!

It's one of the best hostel so far.

Breakfast is good, but a bus is a bit far because its changes the bus stop to a new location.

It is not convenient for a heavy luggage to carry up and down. We travelled one month so we have a heavy luggage.

The hostel was clean, comfortable, and located in a peaceful area within walking distance to the lake and public transport. The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was great with a good variety of options, and the common area was cozy for relaxing after a day of sightseeing.

Good room and facilities

Breakfast was sad and boring. They need to keep some hot food too atleast scrambled eggs maybe. It wasn’t worth the money. They are not allowing to check in early. Had to wait until 4. Their checkout time is early and check in is late which is disappointing.

I can’t say I enjoyed my stay, as several things could have been much better.

Cleanliness and comfortable beds.

One morning we had to get up early to catch the train. The day before we asked someone working in the kitchen if we could get breakfast for tomorrow morning because we wouldn’t be able to do it on breakfast at 7am. He told us no, that if we want breakfast we should adapt.

A good location

A good location next to the Rotsee and easy enough to get to by bus from the station. Breakfast was a good selection but a bit of a "bun fight" on the first morning. Better on the second morning when we knew how the system works! Showers good.

One of the staff, an older man, was not helpful at all when we arrived. OK the canteen had just closed but he could have given us some options. Thankfully, a younger English chap did offer help, saying he could do pizza. We did not take up the offer, but it was kind to offer it. There was a boiler or something like it which we could hear from our bedroom up until about 10pm. It reminded me of taking the ferry from UK to France - like being on board a ship! Thankfully, the noise did stop so we could get to sleep and I have to say the hostel was very quiet after 'lights out'. The facilities were basic, but it is a hostel after all. Perhaps we are getting too old for it!

Pleasant stay and enjoyed the breakfast.

Clean and friendly helpful staff. Especially the young guy serving at the front.

Had to borrow an adapter as no USB socket at bunk light console or did not fit the European adapter. The design of the ladder going up onto the top bunk went too high making it difficult to get onto the top bunk.

Easy, Chill Stay in Luzern

Lots of amenities and activities in the hostel itself. No shared kitchen, which kinda sucks but at least there’s a microwave. Nice and big, comfy, great location, clean, spacious bathrooms. Showers are separate from toilets which was awesome in my opinion. Hot water! Pretty good breakfast

Great value

The staff is really nice. I was welcomed by Eduard, who gave me all the possible information regarding what to do in Luzern and explained me everything about private transportation. This Hostel has a good free breakfast and considering the price, it was a very good value. Everything is cleaned every day. Location is perfect even if it is not in the center as you have a bus that takes you to the center.

the location is closed to the city, calm and have a nice breakfast.

In the room of 20 beds, it’s too much. so many people come in and go out at night. noise which is quite difficult to sleep.

The stay was good. Being a bit far from the city centre makes it a bit off for leisure travel.

It is a bit far from the city centre. If I am travelling for leisure, it is not a good location for me. I travelled 5 hours to reach luzern and reached hostel at 3:30 pm, The staffs over the reception strictly denied my check in as their policy says check in starts at 4 pm. They allowed me to check in only at 4 pm. I would have expected some flexibility there.

welcoming, very nice and cool !

BEDROOM the reception was very nice and smiling. i'll remember the sign saying "we all smile in the same language", loved it ! from the get go i was given the card, the receipt for tax, etc which i appreciate. it's a hostel, rooms are composed of about 10 (or more?) bunk beds. i chose one for females and ended up being alone in the whole room for my night, which was pretty nice! LOCATION the hostel is situation on a hill, so keep that in mind if you have luggages. a bus stop is nearby but you'll still have to walk a couple of minutes to reach the place. TRANSPORTATION bus stop 5min from the bus stop. transportation ticket is included in the price of the room for the time of your stay, don't hesitate to ask it at the reception ! BREAKFAST filling, nice and pretty diverse. vegan option, which was really nice. composed of : fruits, muesli, cereals, yogurt, jamp, bread, ham, eggs, etc and drinks of choice : juice, coffee, tea, hot milk, etc.

HYGIENE you'll have to make your own bed. blankets, etc will be given to you to prepare your own bed. meaning if the person before you didn't clean or left hair, etc.. you'll find them.
