Fantastic location. Small room.

The location was amazing! We could walk to most of the tourist sites and loved being right on the water.

The room was small and the shower was TINY! But it was all clean and worked well for our short stay.

The hotel had a great central location, close to the main railway station and shops

There was a good variety of menu choices in the hotel restaurant. The food and beverage vouchers provided made the meals more affordable. The wait staff provided excellent service.

Unparalleled view and location and would stay again!

The location and view from the room (selected river side) was unbeatable. The train station is walkable and this is located in town. The rooms have been updated recently and is appreciated for a historic property. There are umbrellas to borrow which is very helpful! The breakfast was delicious and good service and can’t beat the view!

The food credit was provided per person which encourages you to use the restaurant and I wonder if the cost would be lower without it.

Our room was wonderful.Comfortable bed very clean. WE had a Great view out our window of the mountains the Train station and the bridge. Our breakfast was always very good. The eggs were very fresh. The staff was amazing.

We loved our stay hotel Des Alpes. We were lucky to be upgraded to a larger room so there was plenty of space. We spent a lot of time on our balcony overlooking the lake and the Chapel Bridge. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable.

Great views!

Loved the balcony that overlooked the chapel bridge. Gorgeous view! The room and bathroom was small, but bigger than I anticipated which was good. The room got hot so we had to keep the balcony door open throughout the night. We stayed mid October. Great location and staff were great!

We aren’t on vacation to watch tv, but we like to do so when going to bed. We can normally find 1-2 channels that are English but there were none

First rate staff and location

Location was absolutely perfect. Room, view and restaurant were terrific. Staff was very helpful and friendly throughout. In fact Arbesa at the desk saved our trip when a tour operator cancelled on us last minute … she showed us how to do the exact same tour (the whole reason we came to Lucerne) on our own and it was a day to be remembered!

Despite some limitations, our short time stay was not that bad.

Location is very significant in the sense, tourist spots like, lake Luzern, Chapel bridge etc, all are adjacent to the property; on the other hand, main rail station is also within walking distance. Room size is reasonable. Did not experience breakfast.

Full time staff was not engaged at the reception desk, & therefore, no one was found available after 10PM to note down our wakeup call!

The location was absolutely perfect. Very nice room with upscale modern bathroom. The reception staff, especially Sarah, was welcoming and informative. The breakfasts were perfect with excellent waitstaff.

Would not recommend hotel but if you are looking for a fantastic view, it had it.

Location and view were ideal. The food in the restaurant was good and had a nice outdoor seating area.

The room was small, bathroom even smaller with a very small shower stall. The room furnishings were old and the bath towels were thin and coarse. The balcony that I paid extra for barely fit two people. Staffing of restaurant were surly.

Lovely hotel in a great location very close to the Chapel Bridge. The staff on reception were friendly and helpful so we enjoyed our stay here. The room was a good size but the shower a little small. Comfortable bed and very clean. Nice bonus was the voucher for free drinks at the hotel restaurant.

Exceptional location and staff with close walking to all main attractions in the old town.

I enjoyed the staff being so helpful. We were able to check in early and got a room upgrade. It was stunning location and very close to the train station which made leaving early in the morning easy.

Perfect location and a great hotel. Would recommend

Ideally located hotel, our room had a direct view of the Chapel bridge (Kapelbrug). The hotel has 3 stars but we would give it 4. It was really nice and clean and comfy. The reception lady was great and very helpful.

The hotel is on the expensive side, and the restaurant prices were also quite high. Unfortunately, the service we experienced from one waiter felt a bit disengaged, which impacted the overall breakfast experience.
